The Last of Us – Part II introduces us to a skill system . There will be virtually no skill branches unlocked. It turns out that almost all skills require you to find training manuals first . It is a type of collectible that the game does not register as it does with others, so you will only know which ones you are missing if you have a list , like the one you have below these lines.

Note on alternative locations and the Special Edition of the game
- The Manuals, if not taken where indicated, can be collected at other alternative points , according to user information. However, since they can only be taken once , we can only guarantee the positions that we indicate here.
- Some editions of the game include a manual or skill branch unlocked by default. This could alter the order in which you get the manuals, plus obviously there will be a manual that you won’t have to pick up .
Manufacturing Training Manual
- When: Center .
- Location: itis right next to the previous one , on the ground floor of the Courts. Break the security room window and you will see it on the shelf, next to the blue filing cabinets.
- Unlock the Crafting skill branch.
Stealth Training Manual
- When: El Capitolio .
- Location: Itis in the bookstore, in front of the gas station (from the pump area, look for the building with the sign “BOOKS” on a blue facade). It is in the same area as the previous one, but on the wall in front of the cash register .
- Unlock the Stealthskill branch .
Precision Training Manual
- When: Hillcrest .
- Location:you will find it on the street you reach when leaving the bike shop . What you need to do is enter Goldstar Liquor and drop into the basement behind the counter. When you get to the bottom of the basement (watch out, there are two wobbly ones ), you can crawl under the wall next to the bathroom. Climbing the stairs you will reach the first floor of the toy store , where you will find the manual.
- Unlock the Precision skill branch.
Explosives Training Manual
- When: The Seraphites .
- Location: Youwill have to enter the closed building to the left of the brown van, past the taxi and the garbage truck after the bar and the conference center. You have to find the work table of the closed building (there we explain how to enter) and interact with the table so that a closed door opens and several enemies appear . Finish them off, enter the room, and the manual will be on the bed.
Stealth Training Manual (Covert Operations)
- When: On foot .
- Location:As you advance through the level, there will be a time when you place a ladder to pass over a ship . The manual will be inside the boat, just go in and you will see it on the table, next to the ammunition.
- Unlocks the Undercover Operations skill branch.

- When: Hostile territory .
- Location:shortly after starting, you will pass through an alley . Your character will say it smells bad, and you will see a door going down a few steps: turn around to see the image window on these lines . The manual will be in that apartment.
Manufacturing Training Manual (Firearms)
- When: The forest .
- Location: Itis in the garage, after retrieving your backpack . Enter the room next to the workshop, turn right, and enter another room instead of following your allies. The manual will be in the background, on a table.
