But in this post we want to go a step further by indicating which are the best weapons of the title, those that you should always have in your repertoire and as soon as possible to ensure your survival .
Here are the 10 weapons that are considered the most useful and advantageous in Rust. Take good note to know how and where they are obtained (we already anticipate that they are rare and difficult to obtain).
Top 10 – Thompson

- How to get it:it can be made with 10 high-quality metals, 100 wood, 1 SMG body and 1 metal spring.
- Advantages:relatively inexpensive to create, good at short distances, fast, and with little recoil.
- Cons:20-round magazine, does not offer very good precision and is not recommended for medium and long distances.
Top 9 – Shotgun
- How to get it ?: Itcan be made with 15 high-quality metals, 2 metal tubes and 1 metal spring.
- Advantages:at close range it is lethal (one or two shots can kill), quite fast and with a 6-round magazine.
- Cons:Fairly spread out, so anything not close won’t take much damage.
Top 8 – MP5A4
- How to get it ?: Itcan be made with 15 high-quality metals, 1 SMG body and 2 metal springs.
- Advantages: Itis military grade but still craftable, offers great precision and range for an SMG. It is very versatile in many situations. 30 rounds per magazine.
- Cons:does less damage than the Thompson.
Top 7 – Bolt Action Rifle
- How to get it: Itcan be made with 20 high-quality metals, 1 rifle body, 3 metal tubes and 1 metal spring. It can also be found very rarely as an Air Supply loot.
- Advantages: Itcan offer a very effective long range with zoom sights, great precision, a capacity of four 5.56 rounds and a lot of damage per shot.
- Cons: Itis not very accessible to manufacture and it is very rare to obtain.
Top 6 – Spas-12
- How to get it:Rare chance can be found in APC Bradley or Helicopter loot boxes, and also when defeating scientists in military tunnels.
- Advantages: itis semi-automatic, very good firing speed, very damaging at short distances.
- Cons:its probability of obtaining is quite low. Slow reload speed.
Top 5 – LR-300 Assault Rifle
- How to get it:Found as loot in Air Supply, Bradley APC, or Helicopter.
- Advantages:can fire all variants of 5.56 rifle ammunition, high level of damage and accuracy.
- Cons:very difficult to achieve, a lot of dispersion in the shots.
Top 4 – Grenade Launcher
- How to get it:You can get it very rarely from heavy scientists.
- Advantages: itis multi-action, its magazine can store up to 6 shots, very damaging in area.
- Cons:Its ammunition cannot be manufactured, it is quite difficult to obtain and it can take some getting used to its handling at first.
Top 3 – L96 Sniper
- How to get it:Very rarely found as loot in air supplies, the Bradley APC, the helicopter, or heavy scientists.
- Advantages:more accurate and faster to reload than the bolt action rifle, it offers guarantees over long distances.
- Cons: itdoes not include a scope by default and is really difficult to get.

- How to get it:it can be made with 50 high-quality metals, 200 wood, 1 rifle body and 4 metal springs. Can also be found as helicopter loot.
- Advantages:high damage, very good speed, adaptable to all possible scenarios, even quite easy to manufacture in long games. All a guarantee in good hands.
- Cons:high recoil.
Top 1 – M249 Machine Gun
- How to get it:Rarely found as Patrol Helicopter or Bradley APC loot .
- Advantages:huge magazine of 100 rounds, very high damage and very high rate of fire. Entire armies can fall to one of these.
- Cons:quite a lot of reload and recoil time and of course hard to get one.
