God of War: Ragnarök guide – where to find flowers in all worlds

We tell you how to complete the side task (request) “Flowering Worlds” and find each of the nine flowers

There are many side quests and other activities in God of War: Ragnarök, so after the storyline (or in between completing the main quests) there is more than enough to do! Traveling through the game locations, you will visit a total of nine different worlds. Each of them has many collectibles and unique tasks. At the same time, there are several quests that unite these worlds. So, in each of them you can and even need to find a unique flower.

Related to these flowers is the Blooming Worlds request. In accordance with the side task, you are asked to find one flower in each of the nine Realms, not counting Asgard, where you will occasionally and exclusively through the story. However, to make up for the lack of flowers in Asgard, you will be allowed to collect as many as two flowers in Niflheim. In addition, you will not be able to collect all nine flowers at once when activating the quest: in order to get to some of them, you will have to complete the main story.

  1. Dawnlight (Alfheim)

Dawnflower can be found in the Forbidden Sands of Alfheim. Open the map and look for a flower in the southwestern part of the region. When you get to the Forbidden Sands, find a path that leads to a giant wall. Climb it, walk along the wall and continue along the path until you reach a dead end. When you reach a dead end, you will see a flower growing in the sand. Pick it up.

How to get to Forbidden Sands?

We move to Alfheim, to the location “Forbidden Sands”. If you have not been here before, in this case we move to the mystical Strand gate and go through a large hole in the wall into the Canyons. Having done this, we move through the Canyons to a new location, the Plains, where we activate the side task “The Secret of the Sands” (automatically). We carry out this task in the Dungeon to get rid of the sandstorm. In the northwest we find a passage to the Forbidden Sands. Requires Draupnir Spear.

  1. Sparkthorn (Svartalfheim)

The sparkthorn flower can be found in the world of Svartalfheim. When you get to Svartalfheim, head to the dwarven city of Nidavellir. You won’t be able to pick up this flower until you’ve completed the “Forge of Your Destiny” chapter. There is an airflow hole near the tavern. Throw the spear Draupnir at him, obtained according to the plot of the game, and get over a large abyss. Having done this, pick up the sparkthorn that grows in a conspicuous place.

  1. Ashtray (Muspelheim)

Getting an ashtray will require a little more effort from you. The reason for this is that you first need to gain access to the Crucible of Muspelheim. To do this, harvest the two halves of the Yggdrasil Seed, which grants access to the world of Muspelheim. Once you get to the Crucible, you can find an ashtray near Brock’s blacksmith shop.

Where can I find Muspelheim Yggdrasil Seed Halves?

To get to the Crucible, you must find two parts of the Yggdrasil seed. They are hidden in legendary chests. There are actually more parts, four pieces, and you just need to find at least two of them. Look for the halves at Modwitnir’s Machine (Svartalfheim), Alberich’s Gorge (Svartalfheim), Freyr’s Camp (Vanaheim) and Burning Rocks (Muspelheim).

  1. Sweet Dreamer (Niflheim)

Sweet Dream Flower is another plant that is not easy to access. After you complete the God of War: Ragnarök storyline, travel to the world of Niflheim and go to the tree where the Ravens of Odin are sitting. This area contains the wreckage of an aesir prison. On the lowest floor of this structure, in one of the chambers, you can find the same sweet dreamer.

  1. Khladoperst (Niflheim)

The Coldfinger Flower is the second and last flower in the world of Niflheim. Unlike the previous one, finding it is much easier. All that is required of you is to go to the mystical gate in the Misty Fields. Once you’re there, you should be able to find the Coldfinger a few feet from the Mystic Gate. On the other hand, in order to gain access to these mystical gates, again, you will have to completely go through the storyline of God of War: Ragnarök. As well as for sweet dreams. After beating the game, talk to Ratatoskr at Sindri’s house to get the desired Yggdrasil seed. Thanks to this, you will gain access to a new gate in Niflheim.

  1. Iron bell (Jotunheim)

To find the Iron Bell Flower, head to the Mystic Tree House Gate in Jotunheim, where Angrboda resides. Stand with your back to the gate and move to the left side. Continue along this path until you find an iron bell growing in the ground. Easy peasy! I don’t remember exactly, but for sure you can do this both during the first visit to the location, and at the end of the main storyline.

  1. Mrakoros (Midgard)

You will find a flower of obscurant in the Grove of the Sanctuary, which is on the territory of Midgard. The Giant Charlie Tortoise is a great guide when looking for this flower. On the left side of the giant tortoise there is a path on which the gloom grows. This used to be Freya’s old house.

  1. Soulflower (Helheim)

To find the soulflower flower, you need to go through the mystical gate to the Hel’s Thresher location. Stand with your back to the mystical gate, go down the stairs and turn left. Kratos will be able to cross over to the other side. Open the map to reveal the Shipyard of the Fallen region. On the left side of this region is the desired location. Kratos will be able to throw Draupnir’s spear at the wall to jump over to the other side. Soulflower grows there.

  1. Starshame (Vanaheim)

Pass through the mystical gate “Wells” in the world of Vanaheim. If you have not completed the side quest “Return of the River”, you will not be able to get to the starshame. After you complete the “Return of the River” request, bodies of water will appear in this region, and you can take a boat to the flower. Swim down the river until you see a blue flag pier. Get off the boat and follow to the Heavenly Altar. Move along the path past the Heavenly Altar, and soon you will find starshame.

How to repair a dam in the Plains?

When you complete the “Beasts of Prophecy” story mission, you will automatically receive the “Smell of Survival” side quest. Be sure to complete it to open the way to a new part of Vanaheim. In the south of the Plains there will be a passage to the Jungle. Use the sky altar to turn day into night and clear the way forward. then go to the southwest side of the Jungle where the dam is. As soon as you get close to it, the request “Return of the River” will automatically start. Take on this mission so that the water returns to the river. Thanks to this, you will be able to travel by boat to those regions that were not available.

Once you have collected all nine flowers, automatically complete the Blooming Worlds request. You will also unlock the Florist achievement/achievement/trophy. This request is time-consuming because you have to travel through eight of the nine worlds, and in some cases the full completion of the storyline is required.
