Anyway, today we are going to talk to you about fishing in Genshin Impact. In many other games, you would have to search or buy a rod to start fishing, but in this game everything works in a completely different way. All you have to do is go to any body of water and you can fish. Moreover, you don’t even have to fight with some QTE mechanics – we literally go and take / knock the fish out of the water.
However, fishing in Genshin Impact still has some nuances. You need to consider at what depth you are trying to fish. Shallow water will be marked in light blue and deep water in dark blue. In general, everything is pretty intuitive. In shallow water, you don’t have to bother and simply beat the fish with any available weapon. In deep water you will have to swim up to the fish and press the corresponding button. But be careful: if you lose all stamina in the water, your character will drown.
Fishing in Genshin Impact is a kind of collectible, rather than a fishing simulation like in Red Dead Redemption 2 or in the same Breath of the Wild.
