You can capture Mewtwo in normal Pokémon Go raids

Niantic  has announced its plans for the end of its summer events. Thanks to the new Ultra unlock, Mewtwo can be captured in normal Pokémon Go raids. It is the easiest way to get hold of this legendary.

Mewtwo can be captured in normal raids during October

Mewtwo  is one of the most popular Legendary Pokémon in the franchise . His mysticism in the original installments led him to be the protagonist of the first film dedicated to the franchise, and years later he continues to be one of the creatures that raises the most interest among the fans. It is for this reason that this Pokémon could only be captured by Legendary Pokémon through special EX Raids in Pokémon Go , something that was very difficult to access for those players who opt for more casual gaming sessions.

However, next October anyone will have the opportunity to get hold of Mewtwo. Why? Niantic  has confirmed its final plans for this year’s summer events. As part of these celebrations, an Ultra Unlock  will be applied  that will make Mewtwo available in normal raids from September 21 to October 24, 2018. In addition, the three previous days will be available in normal raids the three legendary birds : Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres . All three can be found in Shiny if you’re lucky.

In addition,  Farfetch’d, Kangaskhan, Mr. Mime and Tauros – exclusive to Japan, Australia, Europe, North America – will be able to be hatched in 7 km eggs during this period. This temporarily removes all restrictions on special Pokémon , allowing many players to complete part of the Pokédex.

PvP battles for the end of the year

For the rest, this will be, yes, the end of the year fireworks for  Pokémon Go . Few events should take place from then until next year, since the developer team is, in principle, focused on offering one of the most anticipated novelties: battles between players. Along with the exchanges, we talk about one of the pillars of the franchise, so after more than two years of waiting, they will finally be available in  Pokémon Go .

How will they work? Hopefully not in the same way as gym battles, since we are talking about a fight between two players and not against the machine. From  Niantic they  will have had to find another system to create a new mode that is really attractive to everyone and does not only consist of seeing who presses the screen faster.
