Failed to login with PIN
This is a typical error that appears when logging in using a PIN . A small error message appears on the screen, indicating that the PIN is no longer available; so what can we do? The answer is much simpler than you think.
The first thing you should do to solve this problem is to log in with an administrator account; after that, you must open a tab with the Windows file explorer or other alternatives to enter the view menu. We will quickly enter the show or hide section, you will have to check the hidden elements option.
After doing this, you can view the hidden files on the hard drive, there, you will have to enter the file C: \ windows \ ServiceProfile \ localServic \ AppData \ LocalMicrosoft. At this point, you will be able to enter the Ngc folder; this folder may be responsible for the annoying error that does not allow us to log in with our PIN.
How to fix the error from the Ngc folder?
Everything changes if this folder is damaged by system updates. If this is the case, it will not allow us to enter it, showing the access denied message; so what can we do in that case? We just have to click with the right mouse button on the folder and we will give another click on properties.
Once this is shown, we will check the security tab and then we will make a clip in advanced options . Right there, the advanced security configuration session will open and the folder’s permissions will be shown.
Being in that tab, we will look at the owner option , this is at the top and we will click on the change option that is shown there. This option will send us directly to another tab, being in it, we will click on the option types of objects (we must be careful that all options are selected)
After all this process, we must enter our username in the field that says target name. After having written our Windows user, we will click on check name and we will make sure that it is correct, then we will press accept.
Once these are done, it will automatically send us to the previous tab. Being there, the system should have already detected the change we made.
At the bottom, we will be shown a box that says: Replace owner in sub-containers and objects , (we must make sure that this box is selected). After all this process, we just have to press the accept button, so all the changes will be saved.
Once this is done, we will return to the Ngc folder, we should be able to enter without any inconvenience. After accessing, we will have to erase all the files inside the folder and we will restart our computer.
When switching on, we will enter the account settings and there we will change our PIN to avoid some margin of error, you can enable the expiration time . If we carry out all the steps to the letter, we will not have any problem accessing again with our PIN.
