Prayer: Understanding, Terms and Conditions  – Every Muslim has the obligation to perform the  obligatory prayerworship, which is 5 times a day prayer. The 5-day prayer law is obligatory.

Since childhood we have to instill prayer habits, when moving baligh will be an obligation. Many  virtues of prayer  that we can get in everyday life in the world and the hereafter. In this discussion, we will discuss about the meaning of prayer, terms and harmony in prayer.

Understanding Prayer

In the language of  prayer means prayer, while in the term, prayer is a compulsory worship consisting of speeches and acts beginning with takbiratul ihram and ending with greetings with specific terms and conditions.

According to its essence , prayer is exposing the soul to Allah, who can give birth to fear of Allah & can raise a deep awareness in every soul of the greatness & power of Allah SWT.

According to Ash Shiddieqy , prayer is a depiction of the prayer of prayer or the soul of prayer; that is, to hope in God with all your heart and soul, with all sanctity before God and with sincerity accompanied by a heart that constantly remembers, prays & praises Him.

In doing prayers must always try to maintain the special. In language,  khusyu ‘  comes from the typical word yakhsya’u khusyu’an, which means focusing on the earth & closing eyes / lightening the sound when praying.

Khusyu ‘means closer to khudhu’ which is submission & takhasysyu ‘which means making yourself khusyu’. This specialness can be through sound, body movements or vision. all three are a sign of solemnity for someone in performing prayers.

In terms of syara ‘ , khusyu’ is a state of calm & tawadhu ‘, then khusyu’ is very influential and will appear to other members of the body. According to A. Shafi’i khusyu ‘means intentional, sincere, submissive inward; by refining the beauty of the form or attitude of the body (body), and by fulfilling it with the presence of the heart, the consciousness and the understanding of all utterances and attitudes.

Prayer Requirements

There are requirements that must be fulfilled in order to pray, namely:

  1. Muslim (Muslim)
  2. Common sense
  3. Baligh
  4. Sacred from small hadas & large hadas
  5. Aware

Terms of Prayer Validation

  1. Has entered prayer time
  2. Face to face
  3. Closes the genitalia
  4. Holy body, place of prayer and clothing used from impurities
  5. know the procedures for implementation

Pillars of Prayer

There are several pillars that must be known. Among others:

  1. Intention
  2. Stand upright when you can, and be allowed to sit or lie down for the rest
  3. Takbiratul ihram
  4. Read the letter of Fatihah on each of its skirts
  5. hand ‘

  7. Bow
  8. Sit down between the two kneeling
  9. Sit down Tasyahud Last
  10. Read the last tasyahud
  11. Read the Prophet’s prayers
  12. Say your first greetings
  13. Order (Executed in order)

In praying, it can not be arbitrarily, but the time has been determined as in the word of God “(Surat An-Nisa: 103).
