The topic of the relationship between Islam and science is still an interesting subject.Islam teaches us to understand the mystery of nature and to acknowledge it.Islam is a complete code of conduct, which emphasizes the pursuit of knowledge, and it also began with the order of acquiring knowledge. In the Holy Qur’an, Allah Almighty says:
اِقْرَاْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّکَ الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ o
“(O Habib!) Read (starting) in the name of your Lord, Who created (everything).”
Alaq, 96: 1
While science is the field of knowledge that is based on experience and observation, Islam is the religion that introduced humanity through experience and observation.
اَّنَّ فِيَ خَلْقِ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاِرْضِ وَخْتِلَافِ الَّيْلَ وَالََّّهَّارِ لَاٰيٰتٍ لِِّّولِی الْاْلْبَابِ o
“Verily, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the circulation of the night and the day, there are signs (of Allah’s power) for the wise.”
Al-Imran, 3: 190
The Holy Qur’an has taught the spread of the universe by granting scientific consciousness, Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
وُسَخَّرَ لكَمْ مَّا فُي السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فُي الْاَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا مِّنْهُ.
“And He has subjected to you (under the system) all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth.”
Islam and Science: Some Similarities and Contrasts
From a logical point of view, there are many similarities with science and reality, as well as some similarities with Islam. However, science does not work on all the areas where Islam is at odds with science – that is, things are not covered by science. For example, the creator of this universe, life after death, angels, jinn, sin, virtue, soul, halal, haram, paradise, hell, etc. Science will never say or say that there is no Creator of this universe, the life after death, the angels, the jinn, the sin, the virtue, the soul, the lawful, the forbidden, the paradise, the hell.
It should be noted that where the journey of Islam has begun from the beginning of humankind, Islam cannot be dependent on science in any way since the journey of science began much later. Further, where science is a tool made by humans for interpretation and observation of this universe, Islam is the designated religion or system of life of the creator of this universe. Many of the teachings and sayings of the Qur’an are slowly taking shape. Only a little thought will you understand anything. Here are some examples.
Some similarities with science and reality with Islam:
১. Those who have the experience of reading scientific journals know that there is an abstract at the beginning of each journal. It is only by reading that summary that one gets a good idea of the journal’s work. At the beginning of the Qur’an there is also a short Surah called al-Fatiha, which can be read by anyone who has an idea about Islam. Therefore, Surah Al-Fatiha can be compared to the summary of scientific journals.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
He is the most merciful and kind.
Who owns the Day of Judgment.
We worship only You and seek Your help only.
Show us the straight path,
The path of all those whom you have blessed. Not the way of those to whom your wrath has been revealed and those who have gone astray.
2. Literature surveys, summaries of others’ work, and discussions of one’s own work are followed by a summary in a scientific journal. A large part of the Qur’an contains literary surveys, such as past history, criticisms of others’ beliefs, and discussions of their own theories.
৩. In scientific journals, more advanced theories are proposed, along with recognizing the former’s correct work, as well as correction of any errors. The Qur’an also offers correct or more advanced theories, including recognizing its previous truthful words (1: 1, 3: 1, 3: 1, 3: 1: 1, 5: 3). 1, 5: 20, 22:22, 2: 1, 5: 9).
৪. Since the time of Sir Carl Popper, a new wing has been added to science called the Falsification Test. According to Popper, if a theory is to pass scientific theory then it must have the chance to prove that theory wrong. The Qur’an has also been given many opportunities to prove it wrong (1:12, 3: 1, 5: 2, 23-27, 12: 1-5, 5: 3).
৫. From a scientific point of view, the words “scientific” and “unscientific” are common, but from the Islamic point of view, the words “lawful” and “impure / illegal” are also prevalent.
৬. Without any doubt, this is a scientifically established fact that through wireless, direct communication with people from one end of the world to the other is possible. Wireless communication is not limited to Earth, but it is possible to communicate with them by sending satellites to different planets. That is, communication through wireless is an established fact. According to the Qur’an, Allah communicated with some people (the Prophet), or sent a message through an angel of light and light.
৭. According to the Qur’an, this earthly life is a testing ground (Qur’an 1: 1, 3: 2, 2: 25, 2: 9). In fact, people are facing trials in almost every field – whether written or oral or any test.
৮. According to the judicial system in the real world, those who are found guilty after being tried by a judge are punished at different levels, depending on the level of crime. At the same time, the practice of rewarding good people is prevalent in different societies. This is a totally Islamic idea. According to Islam, Allah is the Judge of all who, after judging on the Last Judgment Day, will reward people in various ways for good and for various acts of punishment.
৯. According to Islam, anyone who commits a crime will be punished only. No one else will be punished for the crime of one. According to the real-world justice system, anyone who commits a crime is directly punished. On the other hand, according to Hinduism and Buddhism, the punishment for one’s crime is given to someone else rather than directly. Suppose a Hindu or a Buddhist died of many sins. By putting his soul into the body of an animal / bird, that animal / bird will be punished! Is this a justice?
১০. Multiple verses of the Qur’an say that the activities of a person’s life will be highlighted before his eyes. No one can deny it by observing their own actions. Until the invention of video and CCTV cameras, many were skeptical about how it was possible to portray a lifetime of activities after one’s death! But today, the matter has become like pulse rice to the people. How easy it can be to God, it is easily conceivable. Likewise, the fact of having written accounts of the actions of all human beings has taken shape today. Gigabytes of data can be stored on a small size disk.
