Outlook on the web or Outlook.com lets you report dangerous phishing emails to Microsoft, and in this post, we’ll show you how.The problem is that changes to the Outlook user interface made things difficult to find. Don’t worry, because we are going to help you during this difficult time.
Before we go any further, we must point out that we are going to talk about how to report any email scams to Microsoft in both the old and new versions of Outlook.com.
Report phishing in Outlook.com

1] Move the phishing email to the Spam folder .
When you need to use email messages suspected of phishing when using a newer version of Outlook.com, it is best to know that it requires more clicks compared to the old version. We’re not sure why Microsoft did this, but it is what it is.
OK, so be sure to click on the email you want to report and then click on Junk Mail from the menu at the top. This should result in a vulnerable email being sent to the Spam folder, so you need to go to that folder right away.
Alternatively, you can right-click an email and then select Mark as Spam to send it to your Spam folder like a boss.
2] Report email as a phishing threat
Now that you are in the Junk Mail folder called Junk Mail, you will need to click on the email that you recently sent to the folder. The next step is to click on the “Do not spam” option in the top menu and this opens the drop-down menu.
Finally, just select Phishing and you’re good to go. Keep in mind that the email message does not block the sender, so that means they can still send you emails.
Old version OUTLOOK.COM
Report email as phishing
Click on Email, then select the Junk option from the top menu. You will see three options here. Junk mail, phishing scams and my friend got hacked . You need to click on Phishing Scam and that’s it.
This task is easier to accomplish in an older version of Outlook.com. We can only hope that Microsoft makes it just as easy in the current release.
Report phishing email in Outlook 2016
There is no way to report phishing emails in Outlook 2016 .
What you can do is block emails or mark them as spam.
