The location can be used as a filter, to show the publications related to the selected location, which normally if we have geolocation activated, the name of your current position will appear.

First of all, we need to meet a series of requirements: have a Facebook account and also have an Instagram account. The need to have a Facebook profile is that directly from Instagram we will not be able to create a location.
Next, we will show you the steps to create a new Instagram location for your new posts, such as your business name or a fictitious location.
- The first step is to open the Facebook application on your mobile and go to the section of your profile or pages.
- Now you will have to upload a photo creating a new publication and you will have to click on “Register visit”.
- Then we will write in the search engine the location that we want, for example “Technology place”. As this name is not available, we will only have to scroll to the end of the suggestions and click on Add a new place.
- After choosing the location and doing it correctly we can create a new publication on Instagram with the location we have created, but something you should know, you must be logged in with your Facebook account on Instagram.
This last step is one of the essential requirements since both applications are integrated, the created location will appear on Instagram.
From now on, every time you upload a new publication to Instagram, you can add the location you want, being able to create all the locations you want and choosing any of them.
