How to Change Language on iPhone (iOS)
- Go to “Settings”
On your iPhone, look for “Settings” which has a gear icon;
- Click on “General”
Scroll a little on the screen and click on “General” , an option that has a gear icon;
- Click on “Language and Region”
Under “Sources” , click on the “Language and Region” option ;
- add language
In the blue button “Add Language” look for what you want;
- Drag the language to the top
On the three lines next to the language, press and drag it to the top of the list;
- Click “Continue”
On the red button, click on “Continue” ; the phone will update to the new language.
How to change language on Android
On Android it is also possible to change the language very smoothly. In this tutorial, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 device was used, with MIUI Global 12.0.4 and Android 10, but we have a tutorial showing how to configure it on a Samsung Galaxy :
- Go to “Settings” on the device;
- Scroll down and click on “Additional Settings” ;
- Click on “Languages and input” ;
- Click on “Languages” again ;
- Select the new language you want.
What happens when you change the cell phone language
When you change the language of the cell phone, everything on it starts to have the new language, including some applications, such as the social networks Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and the very ones that are already installed on the cell phone.
Depending on the purchase app, the language is also changed, however, some apps that are more common in Brazil remain in Portuguese, even when the device configuration changes.
If the application supports other languages, you can change it within the application’s own settings.
Does changing phone language change keyboard language?
Don’t worry, if you change the mobile language, you don’t need to write in English as the mobile configuration is different from the device keyboard configuration.

It depends on your preference. Despite the same language, American and British English have differences, both in pronunciation and spelling. So it will depend on which one you will adapt best.
