Most items of equipment in WoW Dragonflights do not have connectors. While sockets are in high demand, they are incredibly rare for even the rarest gear drops. The chances of getting gear with a socket attached are incredibly low. However, for collars, it all goes out the door due to the existence of multi-level medallion customizations. Here’s everything you need to know about them and how to use them.
What is the multi-level medallion customization in WoW Dragonflight?
Tiered Medallion Customizations are items that add additional gem sockets to the Dragonflight Dress at the end of the game. They are created by jewelers and can be sold at the Auction House . They are available in three quality options: bronze, silver and gold. The number of sockets added to an item when using them also depends on the number of sockets already on the collar.
For example, you can use the Bronze, Silver, or Gold quality Tiered Medallion Setting to add the first socket. If there is already one socket on the neck, then you can use the Silver or Gold Quality Tiered Medallion Setting to add a second socket. Finally, as you probably suspect, if you already have a double rosette fretboard, then you can only use the Gold Quality Tiered Medallion Setting to add the last and last rosette.

How to get a multi-level medallion customization in WoW Dragonflight?
If you are an experienced jeweler, you can make them yourself. If not, as mentioned, they are actively auctioned off and are usually quite cheap due to their supply. You can also place work orders to get them done, but I recommend just buying them directly . There is no advantage to using the work order system for them, as they can be bought in abundance of the highest quality at the Auction House.
How to use the multi-level medallion customization in WoW Dragonflight.
The medallion’s tiered attunements act as powerful enchantments that add sockets to your necklaces. As with enchantments, click on them in your inventory, then click on the collar you want to add the socket to. They allow you to invest powerful gems, further enhancing your character’s power. I highly recommend using them on any collar you think you will be wearing for a long time, as the profit is well worth the gold cost.
