What to do with Forbidden Flounder in WoW Dragonflight

If you’ve encountered the Forbidden Flounder in World of Warcraft Dragonflight and read its description, you’re probably wondering why you ever wanted to eat it. We have you covered.

What does the Forbidden Flounder do in WoW Dragonflight?

Forbidden Flounder is a rare fish that will deal massive damage to you over 20 seconds, almost guaranteeing your death. Depending on your class, you will be able to survive using mitigation, but you will need one or two healers to do so.

Surviving 20 seconds will eventually reward you with the “I Want to Bite” Achievement , which is awarded to players who have eaten Forbidden Flounder and survived to tell the story. If you’re an achievement hunter, then this is fun to complete, but the flounder is quite rare.

How to get Forbidden Flounder in WoW Dragonflight

For players willing to take on this dangerous challenge, Forbidden Flounder is a drop from Magmorax, a raid boss from Aberrus, the second Dragonflight raid introduced in Patch 10.1. It looks like this flounder can drop on any difficulty, but remember that you are only allowed to loot the boss once a week on each difficulty. This gives you a total of four chances every week to get a fish.

Magmorax is pretty deep in the raid, so you’ll need to clear about half of the raid each week for a chance at loot. An alternative to this could be to queue up to find the raid as soon as it becomes available, or to look for the party currently in Magmorax to join in the party find.
