It cannot come as a surprise to you that I love to dream. I do it every day I think. Dreaming big and small and for me it is the elixir of life. It’s not about me longing to go away. On the contrary, I get meaning in the present by having dreams. I really am a firm believer that you have to list your dreams to have a chance of achieving them. It may sound simple. Dream, write down and let the dreams come true. Well, it’s not quite that straightforward.
I want to start by writing about the word “why”. If you have a dream, you must be able to answer the question “why is it your dream”. For example, my dream is to work full-time as an influencer. Why? Well, because I feel that I have an important message that I want to spread to as many people as possible, I have a creative personality that I want to make more use of and I want a job where I work from home. That’s my why. I think if you can’t answer your why then the dream is not a genuine dream. Possibly it is someone else’s. Your family’s, your husband’s or your friend’s dream that you believe should also be your dream.If your dream is genuine but you still can’t answer your “why”, you need to make your dream more concrete. Because otherwise it’s just a fantasy. It’s hard to work to make a fantasy come true.
There are plenty of people who don’t have dreams. Who can’t even imagine what they could have as dreams. They don’t consider themselves worthy of dreams, that it’s nonsense, unrealistic or that what they dream about feels so far away that they don’t even dare to put it in their mouths. I think life becomes poorer without dreams. I also don’t come up with a lot of dreams straight up and down. No, I have to coax them out and twist and turn them until they’re just right for me. For my own part, this process consists of adding a lot of impressions to my life. I am obsessed with social issues and slavishly listen to the radio every day.I love culture and believe that theatre, musicals, exhibitions, music etc. add so much creativity and energy in me so that dreams get a good breeding ground.
