This indicates the durability of the weapon, with a sheen that shows full durability . Durability will decrease as soon as you use the weapon and the spark will disappear. From now on, the weapon’s durability will decrease as it is used until it flashes red, indicating that it is about to break.

What does the star next to the weapon names mean in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
Some weapons will show a white star next to the weapon’s name, indicating that the weapon is a Flawless Weapon . They deal more damage than regular versions of weapons. In addition, pristine weapons are more likely to have upgrades shown in blue text in quick swap and in your inventory. Not all pristine weapons have upgrades, and some common weapons can also have upgrades.

A good way to get primordial weapons is to explore the Depths . There are Spirit Soldiers , ghostly ghosts that stand on stone pillars and hold weapons. They have a high chance of being a Flawless Weapon, but not all of them. I have amassed a large collection of Flawless Weapons while researching the Depths for Zonaite and Merchant Statutes.
