Owners of the Life is Strange: True Colors Deluxe Edition can play the Wavelengths Bonus Chapter. This is the background of the events of the main game, and we are offered to play as Steph, the friend of the main character and a local radio host.
Overall, the bonus chapter is fairly short and linear. But in the second and fourth scenes of “Steph’s Story” there is a small riddle to solve, and these puzzles lead some players to a dead end. Here are the clues for those who managed to get stuck.
Steph’s Story – Safe Code
In the second scene ( “Summer”), one of the radio listeners asks to broadcast a certain song. The record with it can be found in the safe in the back room. To open the safe, you need to guess the code encrypted in the riddle. To do this, you need to find 4 records in the store, the images on which should help in unraveling.
In fact, you do not have to look for records, but simply enter the code – 2453. So the further explanation is intended only for those who want to go through this stage as it was intended.
LP 1
The first plate can be found by leaving the store’s back room. It will be on the shelf next to the packaged drum kit. Be sure to take it back after you look at the record. This applies to all albums in this puzzle.
LP 2
The second record is waiting on the shelf right next to the window into the room where the radio station is located.
Records 3 and 4
The two remaining vinyl records will be on the shelf in the second room.
Safe code
Once you have collected all the albums, you will need to solve the riddle itself. To do this, you need to look at the covers of music albums and look for objects that correspond to the symbols in the riddle. The number of such items on each of the covers will give the code. So, the answer to the riddle is as follows:
- 2 ghosts;
- 4 stars;
- 5 eyes;
- 3 ice creams.
Steph’s Story – How To Find All Clues
In the fourth scene ( “Winter”) , the heroine’s friends hid a gift from her, and you can find it by successively finding clues during the “Treasure Hunt”. To make the quest available, you need:
- read any advertising message;
- read the message from Gabe that will come immediately after that.
Please note that clues are not easy to find. For them to count, you need Steph to read them. Don’t forget this.
Where to find clue 1
The first clue is on the front door rug.
Where to find clue 2
The second clue is hidden under the turntable, which is on the table to the left of the store entrance.
Where to find clue 3
The next clue lies on the drum kit cymbal, which is located in the second room of the store.
Where to find clue 4
The fourth leaflet is hidden in a lamp that stands by the window of the room with the radio.
Where to Find Clue 5
This clue can be found among the records on the rack of inspiring music.
Where to Find Clue 6
For this clue, you will have to go to the room with the radio. It will lie under a small remote that is on the table between the phone and the large remote.
Where to Find Clue 7
The last piece of paper will lie at the scratching post, which stands next to the entrance to the utility room.
Where to find a gift
The gift can be found in stock. Enter the room and turn left – there will be a wardrobe. There is a box on the top shelf to the right of the books. There will be the very “treasure” for which we hunted.
