How to find out who visits your Facebook profile

Before explaining what solutions to implement, to know how to see who visits your Facebook profile , I must first of all make some useful premises for a better understanding of the topic.

You must, in fact, know that it is not possible to know in detail who visits your Facebook profile , if they do not interact in any way. However, it must be considered that, if a person is on your friends list , then he will certainly be able to view all the content you post, unless you have set some privacy restrictions .

In view of this, if you ask yourself if there is an application to see who visits your Facebook profile, you must know that the answer is negative. In fact, even if, until recently, there were extensions that allowed you to find out, these were considered disrespectful to the privacy of users and, consequently, have been disabled.

Therefore, in case you used such solutions (such as apps or online tools connected to your account), I suggest you remove them, removing the access permissions to your account for the latter, to avoid risks of compromising privacy.

To do this, go to the Settings menu > Settings and privacy> Apps and websites . Then press the Remove button twice in a row, corresponding to the app or website added, to delete them.

Once this is done, we can move on to the core of this guide. To help you succeed in the intent that you have proposed, in fact, I want to talk to you in detail about the possibility of using some native Facebook features which, if used with a little cunning and, above all, with knowledge of the facts, will allow you to understand who visits your Facebook profile .

See who follows you

Having made the necessary premises, the first information you can obtain, to deduce who visits your Facebook profile , is that relating to those who follow your updates within the social network. In fact, it is possible that those who have activated this feature frequently visit your profile.

In this regard, I would like to point out that you can see who visits your Facebook profile from your mobile phone , using the Facebook app for Android (also downloadable from alternative stores ) and iOS / iPadOS (downloadable from the App Store ), as well as acting as PC , via the official website of the social network .

In the first case, after logging in to your account , if necessary, press on your profile picture and then tap on the word Followers , to see the list of people who follow your updates.

Acting as a PC , instead, click on your profile picture that you can see at the top of the Facebook bar and then press on the Friends menu item which is present under your cover image. Finally, in the section relating to your friends , then tap on the item Other and, in the drop-down menu displayed, press on the word Follower .

In case of doubts or problems, or for more information about it, read my tutorial in which I explain how to see who follows you on Facebook .

See who is online

To find out who visits your Facebook profile you can also make an evaluation based on logic, evaluating who among your friends is online and, therefore, could see the content you publish.

However, if you want to see who is online on Facebook you have to activate the activity status , as this tool has a reciprocity constraint; in fact, you have to be online on Facebook yourself , to see who is currently connected within the social network.

In this regard, you can succeed by acting as a smartphone and tablet or from a PC . In the first case, start the Messenger app on Android (also downloadable from alternative stores ) or iOS / iPadOS (downloadable from the App Store ), press on your profile picture and then on the Activity status item . Finally, move the appropriate lever to ON to confirm the operation.

If, on the other hand, you intend to proceed from a PC , click on the icon (…) corresponding to the Contacts item , which is located in the right sidebar of Facebook . Now, in the menu that is shown to you, click on the item Activate the activity status .

With this feature active you can view the list of people who are online within the social network which are marked with a green dot icon .

In case of doubts or problems, read my tutorial where I explain how to see the last access to Messenger .

See who views your messages

Another procedure you can perform to understand, on a logical basis, who views your Facebook profile , concerns the possibility of seeing who views your messages in the Messenger chat .

Therefore, launch the app in question, if you intend to proceed from smartphones and tablets. Now, in the Chat screen , tap on the conversation of your interest to view it. If, on the other hand, you intend to act as a PC , open the Messenger chat by clicking on its icon located in the top bar of Facebook , in order to view the conversation with the user of your interest.

That said, if the person in question has viewed a message from you, you will be able to see a small icon with their profile picture , next to the message itself. Moreover, by acting as a PC , if you move the mouse to match that icon, you can also know the day and the ‘ now exactly where that message was displayed.

If you have any doubts or problems, please refer to my tutorial on  how to tell if someone ignores messages on Messenger .

See who interacts with your posts

In addition to the previously mentioned solutions, you can know with greater certainty who visits your Facebook profile based on the people who interact with your posts.

In fact, if you put those I love or use another between the reactions of Facebook , or if you comment , it’s pretty clear that they saw your profile and related content you post.

Therefore, all you have to do is start the Facebook app (if you intend to proceed from a smartphone / tablet) or connect to the social network via its website , to act as a PC.

Once this is done, all you have to do is go to your profile and identify the multimedia content you have published and of your interest. Then press on the names of the people who have liked , to see all the names of those who have interacted or press on the number of comments to see the people who have commented.

For more information on this, read my tutorial dedicated to how to see all comments on Facebook .

How to know who visits your non-friend Facebook profile

As for the possibility of knowing who visits your Facebook profile  even if they are not among your friends on the social network, you can take advantage of a native feature, which allows you to preview your profile in public mode .

By doing so, in fact, you will be able to see what information is publicly visible and, consequently, you can subsequently go to modify the privacy for the sections you want not to be seen by those who are not in your friends list.

Having said that, through the Facebook app or acting from a PC , go to your profile screen and press on the icon (…) located next to it.

Now, in the menu you see, click on View as , in order to see your profile in public mode and, in doing so, realize what other users of the social network are able to see publicly on your profile.

Therefore, if, for example, you want to adjust the privacy of published posts , click on the icon (…) next to it and then select the Edit privacy item (from smartphones and tablets) or the one called Edit public (from PC), in so as to limit viewing for friends .

In view of this, to fully regulate the privacy of each section of your Facebook profile , I suggest reading my tutorial dedicated to the subject , in which I provide you with further detailed information on how to proceed in this regard.
