How to remove the Meet button in Gmail

Gmail is an email manager, we would say that one of the most used, well, in the app it has a button to meet , and we can remove it without problems.

Gmail recently added Google Meet to make video calls, as Hangouts is getting closer to being completely discontinued every day.

Not only that, but Google Meet is more intuitive, faster, with higher quality, easier when connecting with contacts, etc.

How to customize Gmail

Since then, the “Meeting” option appears and if we don’t want that option to be permanently visible, we can remove the “Meeting” button in our Gmail tray.

To do this, we must follow these simple steps. The steps are for both Android phones and iPhone:

  • We open Gmail on our mobile and at the bottom we see the “Meeting” button.
  • We display the side menu by sliding our finger across the screen from left to right.
  • We scroll down and enter the “Settings” option .
  • Next, we select the account in which we want to remove the “Meeting” button from the Gmail app.
  • We scroll down until we find the option “Meeting”, and uncheck the box.

We must know that, by removing the Meeting button, we will no longer be able to make video calls directly from Gmail unless we activate the box again in the settings. That is, undo the steps we just did.

How to create a new Gmail account

In case we want to make video calls on Google Meet, but without wanting to do it from the Gmail app, nothing happens, we download the official Google Meet app , and manage the video calls from there.

The Google Meet video call app can be downloaded from Android and iOS , free and quite intuitive to manage our video calls, whether with friends or colleagues, clients, job interviews, etc.
