Steam is one of the leading PC video game distribution platforms. It incorporates by default in its desktop client, a counter of frames per second (FPS). This Steam feature allows users to control the graphical performance of their online games, taking advantage of a better gaming experience, without using third party alterative programs.
How to see FPS from Steam
To be able to view the frame counter while playing on Steam, go to the main program screen and open the Steam menu , Settings :
Click on the In-Game Session and then in the In-Game FPS Counter options (off by default), select the position on the screen where you want it to appear:
