Runegate Heroes is a mobile strategy game that combines the RPG and MOBA genres. And also in the game there is a large number of heroes, abilities and other chips. Now you will learn how to select them to win almost any battle.

Basic moments

To win the game, you need to destroy the extreme right structure of the enemy and prevent him from destroying your extreme left structure. If, after five minutes, neither you nor your opponent have lost the rune gate, then the winner will be the one with more points that can be obtained by destroying the opponent’s towers. Please note that different towers give different points:

Battlefield

Three creeps will come out of yours and the enemy’s gates every 30 seconds to the top and bottom lane. To win, you also need to summon heroes using the runes in the lower left corner of the screen. To get the most out of the heroes, you need to place them a little behind the creeps so that the latter distract the fire of the towers and enemy heroes on themselves.

Also, don’t get stuck on just one line. If you have gone quite far on one lane, and everything is not so good on the second lane, then it is better to postpone the push of the first and switch to the defense of the second.

For effective defense, it is important to always have a few crystals in stock to summon one or two heroes and the heroes themselves to summon. Therefore, do not rush to waste all your resources at the beginning of the battle.

In total, there are 40 heroes in the game, and each of them has its own set of abilities and characteristics. All characters are divided into four roles and three types of attacks.

Roles:

1. The defender or the tank is ahero with great survivability, but very little damage.
2. An attacker or a damage dealer is ahero who can deal a lot of damage in a short time, but cannot withstand a lot of damage.
3. Support or support – ahero specializing in supporting other heroes. By itself, it is not capable of anything.
4. Siege –heroes are able to destroy an enemy structure the fastest, but they die very quickly in battle.

Damage types:

1. Magic– blocked by magic resistance. It would be wise to use characters with this type of attack against tanks, since they have almost no magic resistance.
2. Physical– blocked by physical resistance. Almost all characters have this type of attack, so you should think about increasing your hero’s physical resistance.
3. Pure– not blocked by physical or magical resistance.

In total, you can take five heroes into battle. When choosing heroes, balance between the strength of the hero himself and his how much he is compatible with the other four characters, because taking five heroes into battle, focusing only on their damage rate, you will most likely lose the battle. A balanced team should have: two tanks, one damage dealer and two supports (you can replace one support with a damage dealer or siege if you are confident in your abilities).

Pumping

Level – an indicator, increasing which you increase the characteristics of the hero. The level can be increased for gold and hero amulets – a unique item that drops out of chests. Everyone has this amulet in their own way, so that full pumping to the 18th level of even one hero will take a lot of time.

Skills are abilities that you can use during combat. Most heroes have two skills that can both harm the enemy and benefit you. Skills can be improved with grimoires obtained from chests.

Runes are items that increase the characteristics of the hero. One hero can put no more than nine runes, one for each slot. To put a rune on a hero, you need to pump him at least to the second level in order to unlock the rune slot. You will receive the second rune slot on the fourth hero level, the third slot on the sixth, and so on. Runes can be obtained from chests or bought in the store for gold.

All items to improve the characters need to be knocked out of the chests for a long time, so do not try to pump all the heroes at once. Choose for yourself five or six preferred heroes and try to spend only on them, otherwise you will very quickly lose all resources and save them for a very long time.

You can also improve your creeps and towers, but this will not greatly affect your game.

Tips for fighting

Finally, read a few tips to improve your playing skill:

1. Do not send heroes into battle at the very beginning of the match. First, wait until the first creeps go a little further than the middle of the lane, and then put one tank and a support behind them. So you will be able to go to the enemy tower in the shortest time, while taking almost no damage. After you destroy the first tower, you can guaranteed to break through to the second one by sending a damager or siege to help the tank and support, or you can fortify on the second line by placing a tank there. The second option is a priority because the enemy can take advantage of the lack of defense on the line.
2. Don’t send all heroes into battle at the same time. Try to keep one hero in reserve so that in case of an enemy attack, use it to defend the line. Even if your hero cannot cope with the threat, he will be able to delay it until you send a stronger hero to the lane.
3. Do not be lazy to read the description of skills and do not waste them in battle with creeps. Sometimes one ability used in time can save your hero from death.
4. If your support lagged behind the tank or the damager that he supports, then use some skill of the supported character. During the time the hero uses his skill, the support will have time to run to him.
5. Don’t leave ranged heroes alone. Try to always have melee heroes or creeps in front of them, otherwise you risk losing your unit.
