How to play Steam games on Mac

Steam Link is a different option than others we have on the market such as Google Stadia or GeForce Now , here we do not pay a subscription since the game does not run in the cloud. the game is actually running on our PC, and we can stream it to our Mac.

1. Download Steam Link from the macOS App Store.
2. Open Steam on your PC.
3. Your PC and Mac must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
4. Open Steam Link on your Mac and click “Start” or “Get started.”
5. Follow the instructions to pair a controller (MFi, PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam controllers), or click “Skip.”
6. Steam Link will search the network for the PC. Click on the device name when it appears in the list.
7. A PIN will appear on the PC screen, you must put that PIN on your Mac.
8. After a few seconds both devices will sync and Steam will check your connection.
9. Once the test has passed, click “Start Playing” or “Start Playing” to open your PC’s Steam library on the Mac.
10. Select a game from the list to start playing, it must be installed on the host PC.

Macs are still, at least for the moment, not the ideal computers to play games. Perhaps with Apple Silicon processors this will be solved since we can play all the games available for iPhone and iPad. But while that comes, Steam Link is a great tool for playing PC games on our Macs .
