How to gift the battle pass in Fortnite season 3
Fortnite releases a new Battle Pass with each new season. The Battle Pass is made up of 100 levels of high-quality loot, and even in-game currency (enough to buy the next Battle Pass). A great addition to the game is the ability to gift the Battle Pass to another player. This allows content creators to give gifts, but also allows players to force their friends to play with them. This is how a player can gift someone a Battle Pass.
Find friends in Fortnite
The first step in gifting someone the Battle Pass is adding them as a friend. One of the requirements for gifting someone in Fortnite is that they have to be an epic friend or a Fortnite friend. This prevents players from giving away random person skins via their username. If you want to gift a player a Battle Pass, chances are you’re already friends with them in Fortnite, but in case you’re not here, that’s how to add them.
To add someone as a friend in Fortnite, go to the Social tab in the settings menu by clicking the settings icon on the screen or by pressing start on the controller while in the lobby. From there, go to the “Add Friends” option. Here you will have multiple options when adding friends. You can add them via your username, add suggested friends, or add friends who have invited you to be their friends.
For a friend request to be completed, the user must accept it. If they don’t accept it, you won’t be able to send them gifts.
Giving away the battle pass in Fortnite
To gift the Battle Pass to a friend, navigate to the Battle Pass menu and select Battle Pass. This is the screen that shows players which rewards they can earn at which level. In the upper left corner, there will be an option to gift a Battle Pass to one of your friends. Please note that this option is not available on mobile devices, it is only available for those on PC and console.
Select the option to gift a Battle Pass and then select a friend or friends to whom you would like to gift a Battle Pass. You can select up to 5 friends to gift a Battle Pass, and you are limited to 5 friends per day.
The Battle Pass costs 950 v-bucks or $ 9.50 to buy for a friend. After you have selected a friend (s) to gift the Battle Pass, they will be prompted to check out. The next time the player received the gift to log into Fortnite, or each time they return to the Lobby below, they will be greeted by a gift box containing the Battle Pass.
