How to unlock wire cutters, reuse them, find new routes and secret sections of game locations
The Overkill’s The Walking Dead combined two popular multiplayer games – of Left 4 Dead and Payday is . Together with three friends, you can try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the rebellious dead. At some point, you will come across a fence standing in your way. The solution is simple – use wire cutters. But where to get such a tool?
Nippers can be purchased for scrap and equipment, and then equipped in the same way as with a personal or additional ability. Scrap and equipment are given to you as a reward for completing missions: during the game, you can find resources on any map (“snowflake” icon). Interact with them to get the items you need.
In addition, you can open the “Survivors” menu and send people out of the camp on secondary tasks. If successful, they will bring back scrap, equipment and food – three vital resources for the development of the camp.
When you have collected a sufficient amount of scrap, then open the “Improvements camp” menu and select the “Shooting range” section. Purchase the Shooting Range Level 1 upgrade for 20 pieces of scrap and 10 pieces of equipment.

This will allow you to unlock access to many additional bonuses, including getting a new tool – wire cutters. Stay in this menu and go to the “Tools” section to locate the wire cutters. Buy them for 10 pieces of scrap and 15 pieces of equipment. This tool should be used in the same way as a master key, mechanic’s and chemist’s kits.
You can equip the wire cutters in the game lobby when you expect other gamers to join. Just hover your mouse over “Tools” in the LOADOUT section and select the item you want. With the help of pliers, you can cut a metal mesh fence and overcome some other obstacles, gaining access to additional sectors of the game map, where you could not get before. Developers often hide good loot in such places.
Important! As with other tools, you can only use the wire cutter once per level. For re-use, you will have to use craft from resources found at the location.
