What type of graphic should I use in my presentation?
To start, before giving a format to a graph you must have one and to have one you must know what type of graph is best for you to use and that is that even if it is the same information you must present it in a correct way as the case may be. There are several types of charts and here you will see in what situation you can use each one.
Column Chart
This graph is visually beautiful, it is especially good for very concise groups of information, if you only have 3 or 4 parameters to take into account and these do not have more parameters to take into account each one, this is a perfect graph.
Line Graph
This type of graph will be perfect when you try to represent something over time, they give consistency to the story and nurture the evolution of something, and they are perfect if there are more than 3 cases to take into account, since it increases its visibility and gives certainty of a rise or fall in the topic.
Pie chart
They are visually very attractive, this type of graphics can give an incredible elegance and style , they serve to present exact data of products or services that are all those that handle or have something in common, they specialize in determining at a glance and easily the quantity (in percentage) of how much there is of each thing you add and notice things that do not work or are in danger.
Bar graphic
The bars are incredible to represent data that has been growing or decreasing in recent periods to take into account, they give certainty of what you have today and of course a wide visibility to make choices or notice changes quickly.
How to insert a chart into PowerPoint
It is extremely easy, for this, all you have to do is go to the insert tab, and choose our graphic, in this step by step I will tell you exactly how to do it.
- First you must go to the “Insert” section that is on the left side in the area above, here is an image to guide you.
- Then you must go to “graph” and click there, this will open a graph menu like this
- Once here you must choose the type of graphic you want to insertand click “accept” remember that we already recommend what type of graphic to use previously
How to format a chart?
Up to here, you should go to the “Design” tab.
From the design menu you have available to change the following things:
- Shape and size of the parts of your chart
- Shades of colors
- Add items to or remove items from the chart
- Various preset styles of graphic layouts to add to your PowerPoint
- Modify data as values and others within the Chart
Also from the “Format” tab you will be able to:
- Give it shape filling
- Shape contour
- Insert figures
- Shape effects
- Alternative text
In this way you can start recording the video of your presentation and deliver it on time and that’s it.
