MICROSOFT ACCOUNT
To change the account name displayed when Windows 10 starts and if you’re using a Microsoft account:
- Go to:
– Settings> Accounts > Your emails and accounts if you are using Windows 10 November Update (build 10586.xxx)
– Settings > Accounts > Your info if you are using Windows 10 Anniversary Update (build 14342 or later) - Click Manage my Microsoft account.
- The web browser will start to the summary page of your personal profile; click Edit Name.
- Change the name and / or surname that you will see in Windows 10 and click Save.
- Restart the operating system and log in again. After some time (in our case about 15 minutes) you will notice the change of the name displayed in Windows 10.
LOCAL ACCOUNT
To change the account name displayed when Windows 10 starts and if you are using a local account:
- Type Control Panel in thesearch box .
- Go to User Accounts> User Accounts .
- Click Change Account Name.
- Enter the new account name and click Change name.
- The changes will be made immediately
