How to add, insert or embed Pixabay images in WordPress

As time goes by and technology advances, lots of online applications and web pages emerge . However, we cannot leave aside some of the best in terms of professionalism and quality.

Pixabay and WordPress are tools that we can use for free and safely, being in their field great options, where we can experiment from creating pages to obtaining high-quality images .

Why use free and royalty-free photos?

All the images on the web are protected by copyrights, therefore using images without permission is an illegal act . However on the web there are different pages where we can enter to buy images, but all users do not have the means to do so.

That is why the ideal would be to enter websites where the images are free of rights , so that we can use them where we please , in order to complete our article or any other things that we want.

When we talk about inserting images from Pixabay to a website in WordPress, the most conducive thing would be to find images of the highest quality , since WordPress is a web portal that handles the issue of aesthetics in terms of its use in quantity.

Every time we are going to create a page, blog or other type, we must think about how it would be in the eyes of the people who run these platforms.

Importance of adding images to our WordPress pages or blogs

It should be noted that integrating images is something very necessary and important, because it makes users obtain a more creative , expressive and fun navigation within the portal , thus helping to make the number of visits more fluid , therefore it would generate much more rank to the page.

Adding Pixabay Images to WordPress Directly

First of all, what we have to do is activate the Pixabay Images plugin , to achieve this we must select the option ” Add new ” in the plugins section of our WordPress backoffice. After that, we use the search engine located in the upper right part of our computer to find the plugin that we want to install.

We look for Pixabay images and it should appear as one of the first in the list of results, once this is done we must activate it and we can immediately start using it . Once our plugin is activated as indicated above, we must then insert a new page to be able to observe the plugin in function.

When accessing, we will quickly and easily observe a button on the WordPress editor that indicates “ Pixabay ”. We will click there to be able to use said images.

Next, a new pop-up window will open with a text option that acts as a search engine or image browser , there we indicate what we want to search for. Using regular expressions to make the search much faster and also efficient.

Likewise, within this for greater ease for users, searches are filtered by four different classes, such as: images that are taller than they are wide, also clipart, photos and images that are much wider than they are tall, there we can choose the type that we want, depending on what we need.

It is remarkable to comment that if we give a quick click to the gear icon that is located next to the classes or categories that are distinguished, we can thus configure our plugin if necessary. We use this option if we wish for greater comfort that by default it appears or directly indicates the credits of our previously selected image.

When selecting our image that we want to add to our page or blog, we will click on it and download it and then insert it into WordPress as a normal image, once this image has been added we can see that it has been added correctly according to all the steps mentioned above, that is, with their respective link to the original image and also their credits.

By using Pixabay as our favorite photo provider we will be saving a great deal of time and also money, as it exports a large amount of royalty-free images to us.
