There are many secret passageways throughout Teyvat, and update 2.6 has added another series of quests with a hidden room within the new Chasm area in Liyue. If you’re not sure where to find these key items, we can help. Here are all the Orb of Blue Depths locations and how to use them in Genshin Impact .
All Orb of Blue Depths locations in The Chasm
Orb #1
These don’t necessarily have to be obtained in any specific order, but there are nine in total, and we’ll sort them out a bit based on how close they are to each other. In fact, we’ve already covered how to get the first orb, as it requires the miner’s key to reach it.
Follow our guide on how to get the Miner’s Key near the Ruin Serpent arena, then head to this location and open a door to find the item:
An enemy named Skeld will be waiting for you behind this door. Each orb is held by enemies called Shadowy Husk who can be difficult to take down depending on your party’s level and gear. Defeat Skeld to get the first Orb of the Blue Depths.
Orb #2
The second orb is located just below the Teleport Waypoint that is next to The Serpent’s Cave. It is in the deep chasm between the Ruin Serpent boss and the Teleport Waypoint. Here is the place on the map:
Defeat Haltaf to get the item, but be careful. The pit is filled with Oozing Concretions that buff any enemies standing in the purple ooze. You can upgrade the Lumenstone Adjuvant device by collecting Lumenspar and Lumenstone Ore so you can get rid of any concretions that are making these fights difficult.
Orb #3
The third Orb of the Blue Depths is found in the Subterranean Canal section of The Abyss. It’s a tricky place to get to even though it’s in the middle of the map. There is a specific route you must take.
Start from the south main mining area teleport waypoint, then take the path south until it turns west. This is where you need to be and the arrows to point you in the right direction:
This time Edgetho is Shadowy Husk holding an orb. She kills the duo to get the key item. They are both standing in the middle of a small island in the middle of the channel.
Orb #4
The fourth orb is south of the Stony Halls area. To get to it, head directly south from Stony Hally’s teleport waypoint. Shadowy Husk is hidden behind a cracked wall that you need to break in this location:
Drop down to the left of the Teleport Waypoint in this area and the cracked wall will be right next to a Seelie pedestal. If you follow the Seelie closely, it will take you right there. Defeat Bulywif this time along with other enemies in the small room to get this Blue Deep Orb.
Orb #5
The fifth orb is between the Underground Canal and the Nameless Ruins. It can be reached by starting at the Teleport Waypoint south of the Underground Waterway, then floating to the southwest. Look for a large hole in a wall here:
Hyglacg will be waiting for you near a giant root that makes its way through the ruins. Win this fight to claim the fifth orb and continue the quest.
Orb #6
The sixth Orb of the Blue Depths is inside the Nameless Ruins, just to the left of where all the purple mist once stood in the center of the cavern. Look for an enemy standing on higher ground at this location:
This Shadowy Husk, Serkir, is standing next to another Oozing Concretion, so try to lure him out before you start the actual fight unless you want to fight while he’s buffed.
Orb #7
The seventh orb is at the bottom of a huge hole that is between the Glowing Narrows and the second base camp that is set up in The Chasm. It’s a short walk from the camp’s Teleport Waypoint to the opening located right here:
Roneth is the enemy that needs to be defeated this time. He is sitting alone at the bottom of the hole next to a shallow pool of water. He wins the one on one fight and get the item.
Orb #8
The eighth Blue Depths Orb is in the Glowing Narrows to the east of the Teleport Waypoint in the area. It’s behind a breakable wall, so look for Geo Explosive Mushrooms and destroy them to reveal the hidden path in this location:
Herger will be waiting for you to fight in the water near a chest. This one is also within walking distance of the nearest Teleport Waypoint, so there’s no need to travel too far.
Orb #9
The ninth and final Orb of the Blue Depths is just west of the Resplendent Narrows. It’s along the straight path directly to the left of the Teleport Waypoint, so it’s hard to miss. Head to this location to find it:
Rethel is the last orb-granting Shadowy Husk in this questline and will block your way at the bottom of another hole in another shallow pool of water.
How to use the orbs of the deep blue
Before you can get to where the orbs are used, you will need to progress through the Chapter 2: Act IV Archon Quest by helping Zhiqiong in The Chasm until you come across Dainsleif. Once you encounter Dainsleif again, follow him through the Requiem of the Echoing Depths quest chain until you unlock a new upside down teleport waypoint in the Nameless Ruins area.
Follow the quest markers until you reach this location on the map, high above the ground floor of the Nameless Ruins:
When you arrive at the location, look for a cube-shaped switch that looks like the one circled in the image below. Interact with it to use all nine orbs to open a secret room and finally claim some hard-earned treasure.
