How to use commands?

The first thing you should know before using Starbound codes is how to use the commands in this video game.

  • /admin

Enables or disables admin mode, which enables all crafting recipes, prevents damage or energy loss, and only allows access to admin commands.

  • /aiaction

  • /aicommand

Use /aicommand commandname. Executes the specified predefined AI command.

  • /like

Using /cinema cinematicPath. Plays the specified cinematic for testing.

  • /clearaimessages

Resets all history of received AI messages, allowing the player to see those messages again.

Deletes any work scenes with translation areas containing or near the current cursor position.

  • /coordinate

Displays the current coordinates of the world you are in or in orbit.

  • /disableSpawning

Disables automatic spawning of monsters across the planet until you leave the planet or log out.

Re-enables automatic monster creation.

  • /entityeval

Using /entityeval<lua>. Evaluates this script in the context of the closest script object to the cursor.

Using /eval<lua>. Evaluates the given lua in the context of the script processor.

  • /fixedcamera

Toggle camera position lock; the camera does not scroll. (May cause sectors to not spawn and monsters to spawn right next to you or upstairs if offscreen. Useful for recorded demos.)

  • /fullbright

Switch off the lighting engine and show everything.

  • /gravity

Display gravity at the player’s position.

  • /help

Shows a list of commands. Use /help commandName for detailed documentation. Available commands: %s.

  • /itemid

Displays information about the item in the chat and log.

  • /naked

Remove all gears. Useful in macros to give a character new equipment to replace an existing one, or, you know, for fun.

  • /played

Shows how long you have played this character.

  • /reload

Reloads your local resources on the client side. Will cause a delay in reprocessing.

  • /resetgravity

Cancels/sets gravity. Start using server gravity again.

  • /setgravity

Usage/installation level. Sets your local gravity to the specified level. The default gravity is 80. Negative values ​​will make you fall, but you won’t be able to jump off your head. This change is only local and looks pretty ugly on the server because it greatly affects the delta prediction.

  • /setspawnpoint

Sets the default spawn point (beam drop) in the current world to your character’s position.

  • /settileprotection

Use/set security dungeonID [true or false]. Set the tile protection of the dungeon to true (continuous) or false (hackable). You can see the dungeon ID in debug mode.

  • /snapshot

Use/Snapshot <file> xsize ysize. Render a world view centered on the player with dimensions x and y and save to the given sbscene.

  • /spawngun

Usage level/spawngun [kind]. Create a randomized weapon with a given level.

  • /spawnitem

Use /spawnitem itemName [amount] [variant options]. Creates the specified element under the mouse cursor. If the item does not exist, it will spawn a Perfectly Generic item. Variant parameters are parameters passed to the element’s constructor. They are specified as JSON in single quotes.

  • /debug

Switch debug mode. This enables or disables all commands below.

  • /boxes

Toggle the display of collision polygons and sensor debugs.

  • /clearboxes

Toggle whether to clear the boxes displayed with /box every frame. Useful for determining the routes that enemies are taking, although it can look confusing.

  • /togglelogmap

Toggle the display of debug text information on the screen.
