With the wedding season just starting in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you may be wondering what it is all about and if you can get married in the game now. The answer to this burning question is that no, you can’t get married, but you can celebrate NPC’s wedding in the game, which is what the event is about.
The wedding season will run from 1st June to 30th June. The event will celebrate love and marriage and will feature Reese and Cyrus. The event begins with an announcement from Isabelle when the game starts. You’ll also get a call from Harv telling you he needs someone to help him get a special photograph. Remember, you have to go to the airport to reach its island, which is called Photopia.
When you get there, it’s up to you to set the wedding photos, but the good news is that Harv has a lot of items lying around you can use. Chat with Cyrus and Reese and they’ll tell you what they want in the photo, then set it up however they like.
Fiddle with everything until Resse decides she’s happy with the shot and you’ll be able to get a new piece of furniture from her as a gift, along with some heart crystals.
Heart Crystals are a new event item, which you can exchange for furniture and special items only available during the wedding season. You can get these new items by talking to Cyrus, and each will cost a different amount of Heart Crystals.
Be sure to check back with Cyrus and Reese every day to earn more heart crystals and have access to more furniture. So while you can’t get married in the game, there are still plenty of things to do and lots of new items to get your hands on.
