The benefits of summer smoothies with melon and watermelon

Today I propose you 3 recipes of smoothies with typically summer fruit, but you can also make them with the extractor and the result will be excellent.

1) Smoothie with apple and citrus melon

The melon is a thirst-quenching fruit, rich in mineral salts, containing: potassium, iron, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, zinc, copper, fluorine, manganese and selenium and the  vitamins are:  Vitamin A , from group B, C, E, K, J.

The melon is rich in antioxidants, contains alpha-carotene and beta-carotene.

Ingredients for the smoothie

  • 1 medium-small melon
  • 1 red apple
  • 2 lime (use the juice)
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 lemon (use the juice)
  • 4 or 5 ice cubes

Preparation

Cut the melon into slices, after having cleaned it, peel and cut the apple into pieces, clean and cut the carrot into pieces.

Take the blender, pour all the pieces of the fruit we have prepared, add the lime juice, orange and lemon juice, blend everything for a few minutes, then add the ice cubes and blend for 10 minutes.

2) Watermelon smoothie with ginger

Watermelon, a typically summer fruit, contains a modest sugar content, mainly fructose contains fiber and is rich in vitamins: vitamin A , PP, from group B. Watermelon is a mineral salt, including Potassium , sodium, calcium and iron.

Excellent are its diuretic and purifying properties useful for detoxifying the body, indicated by those suffering from  water retention .

Ingredients for the smoothie

  • 1 slice of large watermelon
  • 1 slice of ginger
  • 1 red apple.
  • Preparation

Clean the watermelon, remove all the seeds and cut it into pieces, clean and cut the apple into pieces, mix everything with ice cubes for a few minutes.

3) Smoothie with kiwi and apple pineapple

The pineapple is an exotic fruit and is a real cure for cellulite because it helps to restore the balance of mineral salts, to eliminate excess liquids (thanks to the content of citric acid, malic and oxalic that give a diuretic action), reduce capillary permeability (thanks to vitamin C), keep the skin elastic and hydrated (thanks to beta-carotene and manganese).

It also has a draining action (thanks to the potassium content) and its organic acids neutralize the lymphatic stasis and the accumulations of waste.

The apple contains moderate amounts of  vitamin C , is a source of fiber, vitamins A, C, minerals, micronutrients and rich in water . There are many varieties with different characteristics, but all have an antioxidant activity.

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams of pineapple
  • 2 kiwis
  • 1 apple

Clean all the fruit, cut it into pieces and blend all the pieces of fruit by adding some ice cubes. Serve with ice cubes.These 3 smoothies can be served in cold glasses and decorated with some mint leaves or by adding some berries.
