Here’s what awaits you in the endgame: After your Outriders complete the extensive story, there’s still a lot to do. With expeditions you still have a lot of loot to collect and missions to play.
This is how expeditions work: There are a total of 15 different expeditions. You will gradually unlock them by moving up the challenge rank. There are also 15 ranks, each of which increases the degree of difficulty and the opponent’s level, but at the same time you will also find loot with a higher item level.
In the end, you are on the Eye of the Storm, the fifteenth expedition that closes the story. Until then, however, you will have to optimize your equipment and buildings to go this far and improve your expedition completion times. But what do you have to consider at the end of the game? Here we will show you some useful tips and tricks to help you get ahead.
Snipers are annoying, this is how you fool them
In Outriders there are some particularly nasty types of opponents who can make life hell. Snipers in particular can be a source of frustration.
They almost always hit and from any position and a hit hurts a lot, they would hit the little finger too, if it just went out of cover. However, there are a few tricks that can be used against this.
How to deal with snipers: As soon as you see a red laser pointed at you, you are in the crosshairs of a sniper. Take cover immediately. Now press the aim button repeatedly and only as briefly as possible.
Repeat this until the sniper fires his shot, it should actually miss if you repeatedly look out of cover for just a fraction of a second. Now it takes a while to reload, so you can get it.
Snipers also make a high-pitched sound when firing. If you have good reflexes, you can dodge shortly before the shot. So be careful of noises when you see the laser flash.
Melee attacks can be extremely useful
Here’s how close combat works: Each of the four classes has its own close combat in Outriders. So the technomancer can freeze with his attack, the pyromancer can burn and so on. But melee attacks also have other perks that can be particularly useful late in the game.
What does hand-to-hand combat bring to the end of the game? This attack can save your life, especially against armored enemies or large monsters.
Against armored enemies:
- These opponents are protected by armor and usually armed with particularly thick ratchets, sometimes even flamethrowers or mortars.
- The parts of the armor can be destroyed individually with firearms.
- With a melee attack you are much faster and destroy all the armor in one hit.
Especially in distress, you can save time and annoying aiming and can take out fat enemies more quickly.
Against monsters:
- Especially when fighting bigger monsters, their assaults are particularly dangerous.
- They shake you up and, in combination with the onslaught of enemy crowds, can often spell death.
- You can prevent this by using a melee attack at the right time.
- The monster stops or flies through you without shaking you.
Make sure you keep taking damage from the attack. So always have enough hit points if you use this tactic.
Don’t drop the blue swag right away
How does this help me? Endgame is usually about epic (purple) and legendary loot. So why should I keep rare gear (blue)? There are numerous reasons for this:
- You can inexpensively level up blue items using crafting, even if their level is too low
- Then you can upgrade it to epic level with Titan
- So you can equip yourself over and over again with bad luck loot.
Blue loot is also important in the endgame.
However, make sure the three main attributes of the outfit match your desired build. You can even save usable parts and save them for the next higher challenge rank, if you can equip more powerful items.
Of course, the blue loot is also suitable to sell at a dealer.
You can recover splinters
What are splinters? These are the attributes that you will find in weapons and armor. They determine, for example, the strength of your weapon or the anomaly value.
By dismantling items, you can get those chips and use them to upgrade other parts of your equipment, as long as the chips have a higher value. But then these sell out.
How do you recover the chips? If you’ve invested splinters in a piece of equipment and don’t need it later, you can simply take it apart. That gives you back all the used splinters.
In return, this saves you from having to dismantle other items, and you can sell more overall.

You can save a lot of time by creating a second character
Maybe you should create a second character at the end of the game and play with a different class. There are a few annoying things to keep in mind here.
Among other things, you have to unlock all mods again. That should be the most annoying part of the job. However, with a gimmick, that’s not a big deal.
Here’s how you can quickly unlock mods on your second characters:
- All you have to do is collect some blue pieces of gear on your main character.
- You can then use crafting to place your desired modifications on this equipment.
- Then you pack the pieces in your storage box, which you can always find at your campsite.
- Now all you have to do is collect the parts of your second character and disassemble them.
This is a cumbersome method, but it is faster than unlocking the mods again by collecting loot. It would be easier if developer People Can Fly mods just made crossover characters.
There are only 25 rank 1 mods. Who wants to collect them all again?
Focus on the strength of the weapon
¿Why is it so important? The higher you go up in the challenge ranks, the more your enemies will be able to withstand. Therefore, a high level of weapon damage is important to complete expeditions quickly, which in turn improves the quality of your reward.
It’s important to hold out long enough not to be cannon fodder. But there are enough armor mods that increase your survivability. Therefore, you should focus on weapon damage to maximize your damage.
Of course, that doesn’t necessarily apply to skill-based anomaly builds. Most, however, will rely on the creaks on the way to challenge level 15 until such setups emerge.

The armor has a hard cap
What does that mean? Armor is an important asset in Outriders. Determine how much damage your team absorbs. Especially at the end of the game, you need a certain strength of your armor so as not to be invaded by enemies immediately.
Where is the limit? You can offset a maximum of 85% of the damage done by enemies with your armor. Therefore, you must be careful not to increase the value too much. There are some abilities and mods that temporarily increase the value of your armor.
So you have to keep an eye on its value and also take your gear into account when deciding how much armor you need. This also does not include any status effects.
