Valheim already offers content for many hours. But if you just stick to the popular boss fights and “play” with the content, you’ll be done at some point, and updates can still take a while. DLPrivateServer shows you 5 ways to have even more fun in Valheim after the final boss has already been posted.
What kind of ideas are these? Here are the things you can do if you’ve defeated the final boss, Yagluth, but don’t want to stop with Valheim just yet.
With these ideas you should have enough on hand to pass the time with the next content. The next step is the “Home & House” update, which should bring new cooking recipes and building options. A little later the new “Nebellande” biome appears, which you will probably dislike. When the updates will arrive it is still open.
Who is the final boss anyway? There are currently five bosses in Valheim: Eikthyr, Den Elder, Bone paunch, Moder, and Yagluth. Each boss has its own biome and the final boss, Yagluth, a huge fire-breathing skeleton, awaits you in the levels.
Boss fights mark story points and your progress in the game. Every time a boss is defeated, you can move to the next level, process new materials, and craft better equipment. In our guide you will learn how to summon and defeat all bosses in Valheim.
But even if you’ve already defeated Yagluth one or more times, there is plenty to do in Valheim. You just have to know what to do.
- Install mods and discover more possibilities
What are mods? Mods (short: “Mods”) change the game and sometimes even add new content. They allow you to play Valheim in entirely new ways or gain certain comforts.
With some modifications you can grow more plants. Harvesting thistles and mushrooms is a thing of the past. Or are you missing the overview of your base and want to fix things correctly for your friends? With a new mod you can label boxes correctly.
Other mods tend to play with pretty weird ideas. You can turn your Viking fort into a thick blob or walk like a giant. This is not helpful, but it makes you laugh or two.

Is the standard look too boring for you? Change it through mod.
- Build your own city or other projects
Construction is one of many gamers’ favorite occupations, sometimes taking hundreds of hours on a single project. Even if the base serves more of a “base” that you keep coming back to, a lot can be made of it.
For example, instead of just building a cabin, a player has built an idyllic little town that inspires many. With several small houses, a large main hall, and a village center, your little village blends in well with its surroundings. We asked him in an interview how to properly approach such a project:

Don’t you want to build a city? Here are some more ideas and inspirations for big construction projects and busy hours:
- A monument honoring the Norse god Heimdall
- WoW’s Sturmwind Harbor in Valheim
- A whole stone fort around the altar of the most dangerous boss.
Large buildings, villages or just a nice house – many players worry about construction.
- Play Valheim again, but like a real RPG.
The mods above can change individual Valheim characteristics or add new ones. But you can also combine mods and turn Valheim into a whole new game.
A collection of mods, for example, transforms the survival game into a real RPG and is roughly based on models like The Elder Scrolls or WoW. With the right combination of mods, you get:
- six classes with unique abilities
- new recipes for boss weapons
- Missions and improved loot
- NPCs who assign you tasks and sell new items

- Explore the whole map or find great seeds
Besides building, fighting and surviving, exploration is another important pillar of survival games. And Valheim offers a lot to explore. The cards are so large that even after 50 hours in the game, only about 5% is revealed.
At the moment, only five of the eight biomes that can already be found in the game are actually playable. The others are still empty or not working, but you can still look around.
Discovering such a map can take a long time.
Uncovering the entire map can take a while and you may be able to uncover one secret or the other. You probably already know that Allfather Odin is watching you, but maybe you will find other gods or find out what you can do in the new biomes.
Alternatively, you can create new worlds or try different “seeds”. A seed determines what your world looks like. It is the basis of how the map is created and where you can find what bosses, resources, and biomes.
By experimenting with seeds, you may find great new worlds or seeds that are particularly useful for beginners or agriculture. You can also find the best seeds for Valheim on our list.
- Make mischief and think of crazy new ideas
Valheim’s features and bugs allow for some interesting possibilities that players have been exploring since launch. They scoffed at taking advantage of opponents’ inappropriate behavior or unplanned object interactions.
From such attempts, strange and funny ideas sometimes arose that you can imitate:
- Use a harpoon and impale your friends to shoot a catapult.
- Build a boat roller coaster and use the sea as a stepping stone
- Or stun one of Valheim’s deadliest opponents and ride on him
The harpoon in particular could be quite entertaining or even provide useful results, such as the ability to water ski and carry items. Just give it a try and find ways to use things the way they weren’t intended – the bullshit is guaranteed to bring fun. All you have to do is hope that those “bugs” are not fixed.
