Supplement Anniversary Edition for of The Elder Scrolls the V: Skyrim has added new content to the game of the “Club of creativity.” In addition, all Special Edition owners received a handful of new features for free: Fishing, Saints and Seducers, new ingredients, and Survival Mode.
If you want to go into the game and try out all the fresh content, then the only thing that can get in the way is the abundance of old content. Let’s say you don’t have a save, where everything that you can go through has already been passed. In this case, you will literally have to look for some new items and quests like a needle in a haystack. So we decided to make it easier for you and explain where they are.
Of course, we will not talk about armor and items that automatically become available for crafting and immediately appear at merchants and in chests.
This guide describes the initial point of obtaining the quest (most often it is a diary or note). You can stumble upon the content yourself elsewhere. For example, you can find and tame a unicorn in the forests east of Riften without buying a special card or taking a quest.

Items and quests found throughout Skyrim
Archer Magic Set
The add-on adds enchanted arrows. All but two types can be immediately crafted at the forge or purchased from merchants. Where to look for exceptions:
- Arrows of Telekinesis – in the Arkaneum (College of Winterhold);
- Arrows of the Soul Thief – in Kagrumez.
Nordic jewelry
Adds a quest and the ability to craft new decorations. The latter will be available immediately, and the quest can be obtained if you buy any new decoration from the following merchants:
- Madesi – Argonian, trades in the open market of Riften;
- Bercy Honey Hand – Pawn Shrimp merchant (Riften);
- Endari – vendor of Shining Garments (Solitude);
- Belethor is a trader in Belethor’s Goods (Whiterun).
Saints and Seducers
One of the most ambitious extensions. Most of the content is unlocked by completing the quest chain. It starts after talking to Ri’sad, a wandering Khajiit trader. His caravan runs between Markarth and Whiterun. To find it, follow the road linking these cities. When the caravan approaches the city, it becomes a camp at its walls for two days.
Alternate Armor – Dragon Plate Armor
You can get it after completing the quest “Bones for Crows”. To do this, ask the owner of any tavern about the search contracts.
Headman’s Chopper
You can get it after completing the quest “Blood in the Water”. To do this, take an interest in rumors from any tavern owner.
Alternative Armor – Daedric Mail
Ask any innkeeper for a job.
Equestrian armor
Can be purchased from any Blacksmith or Stableman in Skyrim.
Fishing
Take advantage of the fishing tackle found by waterways throughout the province.
Quests that start due to reading the notes received from the messenger
Plague of the Dead
Upon reaching level 5, a messenger will deliver an anonymous letter to you. Read it, and the “Living Dead” quest starts.
Hendraheim
After level 10, the messenger will hand over the letter “Test of the Warrior”. After completing the quest, you will receive a new dwelling.
Blood Cold Manor
At level 12, a messenger will deliver an invitation to dinner.
Alternate Armor – Ebony Armor
Starts after reading the Bloodfire Tigers letter. The letter will fall into your hands after reaching level 32.
Cause
Read the stranger’s letter that will be delivered to you at level 42. As part of the quest, you will receive many new items and will be able to visit a new location.
Bone wolf
After you complete the Awakening The Wolf Queen quest, a messenger will deliver a letter from a worried admirer.
New content in Whiterun
Dwelling in the tundra
The house can be bought from Proventus Avenicci, governor of the Jarl of Whiterun (in Dragon’s Reach). Before that, go to the dwelling itself and read the note nailed at the door.
Bow of Shadows
You can get it for the quest, which is given by the same Proventus Avenicci, the governor of the Jarl of Whiterun (you can find it in Dragon’s Reach).
Alternative Armor – Daedric Plate Armor
Obtained for the quest, which starts after reading the book “Death of the Bloody Dagger”, which lies in the dungeon of Dragon’s Reach).
Pets of Skyrim
Read the “For Sale” note at the Prancing Mare Tavern.
Alternate Armor – Silver Armor
Read M’Sharra’s diary in the Prancing Mare Tavern.
Civil War Champions
Read Contest of Champions in The Drunken Hunter or a letter from the commander (if you are going through the Civil War quest chain).
Alternate Armor – Orcish Plate Armor
Read the dossier of the guard of Yakhtu gra Orkugl (can be found in the Whiterun Guard Barracks).
Staff of Hasedoka
Read the trade notes of the smugglers at the bandit camp west of Dragon’s Reach.
Agriculture
Visit a new location east of Rorikstead (Golden Hills Plantation). The quest starts, after which you will receive a new dwelling.

Read the note “Crypt of the Heart – Sketch” at the Silver Blood Tavern (Markarth).

Can be bought from Kolselmo, the Jarl’s court mage (Podkamennaya fortress in Markarth).

To get the armor, visit the observation post “Four Skulls” northeast of Markarth.

Read Zechariah’s note at Mountain Refuge (south of Dragon Bridge).

Lord’s Mail
Read the letter to General Tullius, which lies in the Dark Castle (Solitude).

Read the book The Restless. She can be found in the Laughing Rat Tavern at the entrance to Solitude.
Elite Crossbows
Read Kragrash’s letter at the Iron Hideout. This is a hut southeast of the Horse Stone (northwest of Solitude).

Read Naara’s diary, which lies in the Gallows Hall (southwest of Windhelm, just north of the Eye of Mara pond).

Find Erania at Boethiah Chapel (east of Windhelm).
Shadowy
You should look for the beginning of the quest in the area of hot springs near the Atronach stone.

Festive set of Saturalia
Can be bought from Agrain Pass located west of Dawnstar.
Vigilant Stendarr Armor Set
Read the letter to Keeper Carquette in the Hall of the Watch (south of Dawnstar).

Mirwatch
Travel to a new point on the map, which is located east of Morthal. When you try to get inside, you will receive a quest.

Read the Diary Seeking-Ancient-Artifacts, part 1. You can find it in the Frozen Hearth tavern (Winterhold).
Wild horses
Read Soran’s diary on the library counter in the Arkaneum (College of Mages of Winterhold). A map of horses that can be tamed can be purchased from any groom.
Hands of Chaos
Travel to the Heavenly Temple Ruins north of the College of Mages.
Magic items
They can be found in chests in the Hoba Cave (just south of the Tower stone).
