Star joins the existing Disney + brands: Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar and National Geographic
If you are wondering what Disney + Star is and how it works , know that it is the sixth brand of the streaming platform of The Walt Disney Company and that, on February 23, 2021, it was added to the already present Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic. What is Star
Star is the new general entertainment brand present on the Disney + streaming platform and which joins the current (and much loved) brands: Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar and National Geographic . DisneyPlus subscribers now have another new world of TV series, movies and Originals. With 42 TV series, 249 films and 5 exclusive Star Originals in Italy at launch, new titles will be added to the service each month from Disney Creative Studios, including Disney Television Studios (20th Television and ABC Signature), FX Productions, 20th Century Studios and many others.
How Star works on Disney Plus
If you are already a Disney + subscriber, I would know that once you log in to the platform, the main channels are shown on the home page. The addition of Star to the general catalog of the platform took place automatically: subscribers did not have to do anything, except to click on play to start enjoying the rich catalog of Star!
Being Star designed for an older audience, Disney + has also launched a new parental control that allows you to set content access limits for specific profiles based on age rating and allows you to add a PIN for profiles with access to content suitable for an adult audience.

In Italy, among the streaming titles available on Disney + there will be the crime thriller Big Sky , created by visionary storyteller David E. Kelley ; Love, Victor , the spin-off series of Tuo, Simon written by original film writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger and the animated sitcom Solar Opposites , co-created by Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan . Even the Helstrom drama series , executive producer of which is Paul Zbyszewski along with Karim Zreik and Jeph Loeb , andGodfather of Harlem , written by Chris Brancato and Paul Eckstein , starring Forest Whitaker. Other projects that will debut in 2021 are the Dopesick and The Dropout series, new content from Kardashian Jenner , as well as FX Original titles , including The Old Man.

Disney + subscribers will be able to stream their favorite titles. In addition to popular TV series such as Grey’s Anatomy, 24, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The X-Files, Lost and Family Guy , Star will offer a variety of titles for everyone and every need, with more content added every week.
Also available to subscribers will be Donald Glover’s innovative FX series and Emmy® and Golden Globe® Atlanta winner ; the black-ish Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominated ABC comedy , starring Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross and Yara Shahidi; Shonda Rhimes’ critically acclaimed legal drama Scandal ; and the Emmy® and Golden Globe® winning sitcom Modern Family , created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan.
Additionally, award-winning films available at launch include Braveheart, Fearless Heart, Three Posters in Ebbing, Missouri and Alien , as well as classics like Pretty Woman, 58 Minutes to Die – Die Harder, The Devil Wears Prada, Moulin Rouge! and Titanic.
