Hi-Fi Rush is a new action game from the creators of The Evil Within . In the role of a young rocker named Chai, the player will have to explore a huge robotic complex and confront a sinister corporation. In this guide, we will walk you through the game.

But first, let’s answer some questions in advance that you may have during the game.

How to get through the walls of fire? How to destroy walls with cracks? How to turn on generators?

Attention! There are significant plot spoilers in the next paragraph!

You will encounter these obstacles already in the early levels of the game. The problem is that you won’t be able to complete them until you unlock certain characters. Cracked walls are destroyed by Macaroon – you unlock it only in the fourth chapter. And Corsica will cope with the walls of fire and generators, which will become available on the eighth composition.

After completing the game, you will be able to replay the old levels using unlocked characters. It is at this moment that it will be possible to overcome the same walls of fire from the very first chapters.

How to open mysterious doors?

This content is for players who have completed the main storyline. Ignore these doors until the final boss is defeated.

How to open big chests?

Approaching them, go through a mini-game where you have to quickly press one button. After you need to press the required key at a certain moment, which will open the chest.

How to restart a level?

This ability is unlocked after completing the game. Sit on the sofa in the hideout, where the level reset function is located.

Passage of the chapter “Composition 1. New life”. How to beat the QA-1MIL boss

Since training awaits you at the beginning, we decided to start our walkthrough after meeting with the refrigerator robot, which will tell you about getting into the rhythm. Next, you will find yourself in an industrial complex, where you can collect scattered gears. Be sure to break the boxes where the resources fall out. And to go further, hit the red tap:

After that, you will enter a room with three ordinary robots. After defeating them, hit the red button. After jumping over the abyss on the platforms, do not rush to climb onto the roof – look around the corner to collect additional gears:

Then talk to the refrigerator robot, which will teach you the evasion mechanics. Behind the green pipes, break the boxes with gears. Then, with the help of a double jump with evasion, cross the abyss and climb onto the roof of the neighboring building, where you can get a lot of valuable things:

Having collected everything useful, return to the refrigerator robot, but before going upstairs, examine the boxes on the iron bridge:

Then climb up the pipes, collect the gears and look back, where you will find another bridge that will lead you to new values:

Then go up to the very top and go into the building. After the cut-scene, carefully study the environment and do not forget to pick up the gears behind the boxes:

In the next room, be sure to go into the room on the right, where you will find a fragment of the life sensor . When you meet a training robot, learn a new combo and apply the acquired skills on the next switch. You will get to the roof where you need to defeat several waves of robots. Then jump over the abyss and explore the environment in search of useful items. Don’t forget to pick up the life gauge fragment and climb onto the roof at the following location:

After collecting all the bonuses, activate the bridge and go to the neighboring roof. Consult the refrigerator robot and don’t forget to collect the gears on the billboard:

After returning to the roof, jump over to the next building – to another refrigerator robot. After learning a new skill, go ahead and watch the cut-scene, after which the game will switch to 2D platformer mode. Go ahead and pass the tests. When you get to the billboard with gears, go left and break the crates:

Then go back and go right to new challenges. Soon you will find yourself in a warehouse, where the game will return to its usual 3rd person view. Explore the room, destroy the boxes, read the note, and then jump into the hatch:

Below you will find a very simple mini-game. Jump over the laser beams and watch out for the red lines on the floor. Try to jump to the rhythm, which will make it easier to pass the challenge. Then learn the new mechanics and search the area to collect all the gears, first aid kits and batteries. Go to the refrigerator robot, and then you will encounter shooter robots. Dealing with them is easy – don’t stand in their line of attack. Keep an eye out for their jump shots – they are much harder to dodge.

After defeating the enemies, go to the next room. Collect everything of value and be sure to look behind the cargo boxes. Climb up and on the platform, move to the iron bridges, where you will find a large chest. To open it, complete a short mini-game on the QTE and collect the Health Tank Fragment . You will then enter a conveyor where you will soon find an entrance with a switch on the left. But we advise you to reach the end to collect valuables and a fragment of the echo core in a small alley:

Then go back and hit the switch. You will be taken to a new conveyor. Climb up it and collect the gears. Then go in the opposite direction and jump over the boxes to the ledge to another switch. Complete the mini-game on the generator and step along the third conveyor.

You will find yourself in a vast location with bridges. Collect everything of value and fight the big robot. Despite the impressive appearance, the enemy is simple – dodge blows and constantly beat him. After defeating the enemy, collect the remaining valuables around and jump into the tunnel:

You will then enter a room where you can find two hatches, by entering which you will learn new combinations:

Having done all the work, go through the gate outside and soon you will get to a spacious area where two waves of robots are waiting for you. First, get rid of the shooters, and then finish off the rest. After the victory, you will find yourself in a room that is chock-full of valuables. Don’t forget to explore the balconies:

How to beat the QA-1MIL boss

Although the enemy has many attacks, they are quite easy to memorize.

  • Sweeping kick from the side– just jump over it.
  • Overhead punch– move away, and then approach the hand and start hitting it. After the boss reaches 50% health, don’t run up to the fist right away – wait for the electric attack to finish.
  • Two-Handed Overhead Punch– Jump just before the boss’s fists hit the floor.
  • Electric shots– the boss will shoot them from two sides. Just jump over them.

After defeating the boss, you will enter the hideout. Explore it and, having done everything necessary, sit on the sofa to start the next chapter.

Passage of the chapter “Composition 2. Newfound powers.” How to defeat Rekka?

When walking along a long street, look behind the pipes in search of valuables. At the end, talk to the robots and beat the food machine to get the gears. Explore the room to the left of the street and then go through the gate. The further path is very linear and does not carry surprises. Once on the bridges, don’t forget to pick up the echo core fragment :

Then jump into the ventilation shaft and reach the assembly shop. As you walk through it, don’t forget to explore the room with valuables:

Then you will find a fairly linear path to the next battle. There you will meet a new enemy in the form of a large robot with a sword. No special tactics are required, but it is better not to fall under the blows of the enemy. After completing the battle, you will find yourself at a fork – we advise you to first explore the room on the right:

Then return to the fork and hit the button. After climbing the platforms, talk to the refrigerator robot. Don’t forget to explore the next room for some graffiti and a lot of gears:

Go to the next button and pull on the magnets to collect all the gears. Be sure to destroy Cale’s statue along the way:

After passing through the ventilation shaft, you will again fight with the robots. First kill the large swordsmen, then the rest. After defeating the enemies, explore the surroundings. In one of the corridors you will find a fragment of the echo core :

Next, you will find yourself in a room with stairs up. First, look into the next room and collect valuables:

Then go up the stairs, and at the very top, explore the bridge, where you can get with the help of moving wagons on the left:

After that, do not forget to jump to the very top, where you will find gears and a fragment of the life sensor (for convenience, jump from the green container):

After collecting everything of value, go down and go to the jumping device. We advise you to carefully jump down at the top to collect more gears. Below you will encounter hostile robots, but nothing out of the ordinary will appear in combat. The next part of the level is quite linear and filled with familiar challenges. In the room with two robots, look behind the computer panel to pick up a large pharmacy kit and other valuables:

After using the jump device, you will encounter two waves of enemy robots. It is better to leave a power attack until two large swordsmen appear. After you win, you’ll find yourself in a mini-game with moving along the magnetic track, and after that you need to go through a very linear part of the level, where you will be taught new mechanics. Soon you will encounter flying fighting robots. Fighting them is easy – hit them while jumping, pull towards them, or summon Mint.

Go further through a series of already familiar tests until you get to the valve. Hit it to make the lid on the front start bouncing. After jumping on it and being at the top, summon Mint and aim at the small valve:

Once even higher, look to the right and shoot at the second valve:

At the very end of the test, just pull the magnet. At the top, do not forget to open a large chest and pick up a fragment of the life sensor . From there, the game is fairly linear until you get to Rekka’s waiting room. Don’t forget to look at the graffiti here :

After collecting all the valuables, go to the next room, where a duel with the boss awaits you.

How to defeat Rekka?

The first 25% of the boss’s health is pretty straightforward. The main thing is to dodge Rekka’s directed attacks in such a way that she crashes into the wall. From 75% to 50% health, Rekka will begin to be covered in electricity. During this, stay away from her, attacking only with Peppermint. Wait for the electricity to subside, and only then beat the boss.

Between 50% and 0% health, be extra careful and try to dodge in rhythm. From the capture with iron hands, try to move away from the boss as far as possible and competently dodge. Jumping is very effective at this moment. At the last 25% of health, an attack can appear, where Rekka is spinning with a pipe like a tornado. Just run away from her at this moment. Defeating the boss will complete the second chapter.

Passage of the chapter “Composition 3. Trial by lava”

Follow a very linear path until you encounter a new kind of robot – the blue swordsman. He hits hard, the main thing is to dodge in time. After defeating the enemies, do not forget to read the note:

Going further, pick up a broken chip by descending on a lava stone:

The further path will also be linear, and at the moment with the volcano, do not rush too much, otherwise you will miss the abundance of valuables. Soon you will meet a new enemy – a riding robot that can use its staff to cover allies with energy shields. Destroy them with Mint, but it’s much more effective to break the staff itself. The further path will also be simple and linear. But before entering the department, go down to the closed gate and pick up all the valuables:

Returning to the entrance to the department, look around. Pick up the broken chip on the left:

On the right side of the entrance to the department is a statue of Keil . Destroy it and collect valuables. Above the statue itself there is a passage to the graffiti . Having collected everything useful, go to the department and go forward. Once in the lab, go up the stairs to the right and pick up the Echo Core Fragment :

As you continue on, you will enter a testing room and learn new mechanics. To pass the drones, make two reflections at a time, matching the rhythm. Soon you will reach the second test room, where you also need to use reflections. There will be no prompting circle, and the easiest way to complete the task is to constantly squeeze the reflection into the rhythm, which you can follow through TAB. Further, on the way to the third test room, climb up to find a fragment of the gauge of lives :

Nearby, don’t forget to explore the area behind the gate with the button:

Entering the third test room, you are waiting for the most difficult reflection tasks. Keep an eye on the indicator with lightning, which will indicate in what rhythm you need to repel the attacks of turrets and thugs. After passing the test, you will find a moving magnet, which will lead you to the path to another department. Collect the Life Gauge Fragment and look behind the crates to collect additional valuables:

Then go up to the department and fight the final squad of enemies. At the very end, an impenetrable robot will come out against you. You won’t be able to defeat him, but it’s not entirely clear what triggers the cut-scene – just the past tense or some kind of action. Personally, we ran under the boss so that he would shoot rockets at his feet. After the cut-scene starts, the third chapter will be completed.

Passage of the chapter “Composition 4. Finances sing romances”

Go ahead and destroy the first wall with the Macaroon. After it, explore the room and pick up a broken chip :

After going to the drill, go around it and pay attention to the following place:

Wait for the jumping stone and cross it to the opposite side. Carefully search the area to collect a lot of valuables and open a chest with a fragment of a health tank . Return to the drill and on the other side, along the jumping stones, get to the broken chip :

Next, climb up the drill and cling to the magnet. Once on the platform with boxes, take the broken chip behind the decoration:

Be sure to climb onto the boxes and jump from them to the roof, where you can pick up gears and a fragment of the life gauge :

Then go up to the department. Inside, you will again meet with an impenetrable robot, the armor of which will be destroyed by the summoned Macaroon. Now you can easily defeat this enemy. Next, go through the corridors, and in the room with a lava pipe, pick up a broken chip :

Rise into the virtual reality room and fight against the already familiar enemies. Then lava caves await you again, and after climbing the bridge and reaching the fork, be sure to check out the following place for graffiti :

Come back and go to the other side. Soon you will reach the second room of virtual reality and meet a new enemy – a shield-bearer robot . The enemy is not easy – break the shield with the Macaroon, and it is easier to dodge enemy attacks with a dodge double jump. Further, a simple and linear path awaits you, the main thing is not to miss the statue of Cale . After going through the magnets and be sure to look back so you don’t miss a broken chip :

Soon you will find yourself in the rest rooms. Don’t forget to pick up the fragment of the health balloon :

Then go to the next room where the lava cave simulation will start. Here you are waiting for the usual tests. Along the way, pick up a fragment of the gauge of lives :

After that, you will face two waves of enemies. We advise you to get rid of the riding robot in advance, because the swordsmen under the shields are quite dangerous. Then you will find a series of already familiar tests and many battles, where everything will do without unexpected and difficult moments. This concludes the fourth chapter.

Passage of the chapter “Composition 5. Jailbreak”. How to defeat the samurai robot?

Get to the end of the corridor and collect all the valuables. Then go through the small doorway. Be sure to examine the far blades to pick up a fragment of the life sensor :

Go through a series of corridors until you get a repair task. Once in the room with the robot vacuum cleaner, be sure to explore the top floor, where behind the closed door you will find a statue of Cale :

How to defeat the samurai robot?

As you continue on your way, you will come across a squad of robots, where a samurai will come out at the end of the battle. The enemy is not easy, but having studied him, you can easily deal with him. First of all, you need to correctly reflect the blows. In the calm stage, parry the samurai’s blow immediately after a small flash. Be sure to use Mint for extra damage.

When the samurai goes into rage mode, stay away from him and try to dodge instead of deflecting blows. An area attack is especially dangerous, because of which you will have to beat off a very difficult combination. But dodging this strike is easy with a jump, which eliminates the need for a reflection.

After defeating the enemy, a series of QTE tests awaits you. After that you will come to a fork. We were not able to find out how these paths differ, but we had to go through both. The roads along them are very linear and understandable, so we will not describe them in detail. Carefully explore the area and all the nooks and crannies to collect as many bonuses as possible. And after the activation of the last ball, the game will again take on the form of a 2D platformer, as it was in the first chapter. Having gone a little forward, be sure to look into a small tunnel to pick up a broken chip :

Next you will find a series of lasers. They can cause problems, but they do little damage even on a high difficulty level. If you still can’t pass, try to overcome obstacles in rhythm. Having slipped through all the lasers, the game will return to its usual form from the 3rd person.

Once you reach the elevator, get ready to fight your enemies as you descend. Soon you will meet with a robot bird , tactics against which are competent evasion. Like the samurai, the bird does a spinning attack that will force you to parry the whole combo. But in general, defeating the enemy is not difficult. After defeating the bird, the stage will be completed.

Passage of the chapter “Composition 6. Trip to the L.I.F.T.”

Before you go forward, turn back and collect the broken chip behind the spherical structure:

Then go through the gate and take a look at the graffiti near the turnstiles:

Soon you will be taken to the mobile platform “L.I.F.T.”, where you need to fight several waves of enemies and complete the simplest tests. We advise you to economically spend first-aid kits in the district so that they are enough for the most needed moment. As soon as “L.I.F.T.” arrive at the destination, the chapter will be completed.

Passage of the chapter Composition 7. Climbing

After going through the battle at the very beginning, go forward to the wagon and explore the area. Next, climb the scaffolding, collecting everything of value along the way. After breaking into the wall, you will fall into the corridor. After reaching the information screen, jump on it to the second floor:

You will find yourself in a huge room where you need to climb up. A very linear path awaits you, and the game will also switch to a 2D platformer mode. Once the controls return to 3rd person view, look behind the crates and collect some valuables:

Going further, break the locked gate with the help of Macaroon and take the fragment of the health balloon on the balcony on the right ):

In the same room, in a small cul-de-sac, take a large battery :

Then return to the button, hitting which will open the passage to the upper platforms. After defeating the enemies and moving on, you will find yourself in front of a jump device. Explore the room on the right for a large first aid kit and a statue of Cale :

Soon you’ll be back in 3rd person again. Go further until you find yourself in a room with green pipes. Explore the room on the right to find Cale’s statue :

After collecting everything of value, go through the doors, where you will encounter a detachment of robots. Soon you will meet a new enemy – a robot beast . He is easy to defeat, but if he goes into a rage, instantly dodge by jumping from circular attacks so as not to get hit by a combo.

Once you’ve dealt with the enemy, move on. You will find yourself in a room where you need to climb up and jump over the moving laser. Along the way, you will meet a new enemy – a blue impenetrable robot . But he surpasses the weaker version only by the presence of an energy shield, which is broken by the summoning of Mint. Please note that the barrier may return if you do not quickly finish off the robot. Having dealt with the enemies, you will find yourself on the platform, where we advise you to look around. On the right, pick up a broken chip :

Next, jump over the magnets to the upper platforms, and next to the next jump device, pick up a broken chip :

After jumping to the very top, overcome the next waves of enemies. Climb through the air duct, where the game will once again become a 2D platformer. After passing this point, you will face the boss.

How to beat Corsica?

The whole battle is a series of combinations with reflections and dodges. You will have to correctly follow the rhythm in order to win. Nevertheless, we will give a couple of tips. Firstly, press only the dodge button – initially it may seem that you need to choose a direction, which is somewhat inconvenient. Secondly, sometimes it’s useful to keep an eye on the boss animations. For example, dodging is ideal only when Corsica lands on the floor after a jump.

After defeating the boss, the chapter will be completed.

Passage of the chapter “Composition 8. History Lesson”. Where can I find a ticket for the task of a robot vacuum cleaner?

Carefully explore the fair to collect a lot of valuables and talk to many characters. On the second tent site, find a broken chip on the roof of a small building:

Go to the first platform and hit the trash can to get a ticket:

Returning to the robot, you will receive a fragment of the gauge of lives . After completing the research of the fair, go through the iron gates:

You can now summon Corsica to put out the pillars of flame that you’ve been seeing since the very first chapters. Once in the sewers, jump down and pick up a broken chip :

Next, a small linear path awaits you. In the room with two robots, look behind the boxes to pick up a fragment of a health tank :

Then jump up through the hatch and go further through the ditch. Soon you will face a new enemy – a burning robot . Use Corsica to put out the flames. As soon as the robot goes into a rage, immediately get ready to jump, otherwise you will have to reflect a combination of blows.

Having dealt with the enemies, in the same place go through the gate, which is located on the sides of the courtyard. After exploring the area beyond the walls, you will find a fragment of the echo core and a broken microcircuit . After that, enter the museum and go through a series of corridors where nothing unusual will happen until you encounter a new kind of enemy – fiery swordsmen . They hit hard, and can also set fire. Pay close attention to their attacks and dodge in time.

Going further, you will encounter a samurai and a riding robot. After defeating them and going into the room, inspect the graffiti :

Climb up and destroy the statue of Cale near the glass. Then crawl through the ventilation shaft. And before climbing the pipes, pick up the broken chip at the dead end :

After climbing through the pipe through the barrier, take the fragment of the life sensor between the wall and the shelf of the cabinet:

After reaching the generator that activates Corsica, quickly climb up. But from the very last platform, we recommend looking into the following place to pick up a fragment of a health tank (activate the generator again if you didn’t have time to jump over the abyss the first time):

Go ahead and complete a new challenge with the generator. But before you start the next one, shoot the blue button to open the passage to the territory nearby:

Enter through the opened door and hit the cylinder. Then activate the generator and pass the test. Then you will have a battle with robots, where parts of the floor will become electric in a clockwise direction. After defeating the enemies, you will find yourself in another corridor, where we advise you to look into the following place to pick up an echo core fragment :

After going further to the Mint store, be sure to look into the room next to pick up a broken chip :

After overcoming another flame and getting under the roof of the museum, pick up another broken chip along the way:

You will also meet with a new type of enemy –  flamethrowers . Their attacks are similar to ordinary shooters, only they can set fire to them. Watch them carefully and dodge in time. After the victory, go further and fight with several more waves of robots. Soon you will find yourself in the corridor of the museum, where you need to get through the display cases to the ventilation shaft. You will find yourself in the sewers again, where you can find a chest with a fragment of a life gauge in the passage on the right:

Soon you will have to pass another test with the generator. After completing it, look back and jump through the pipes to find a broken chip :

Then go further, where the battle on the electric zone awaits you again. Tracking charged parts is easy enough, so there shouldn’t be any problems. After defeating the enemies, you will again find yourself in the museum, where there is a statue of Cale not far from the entrance . Proceeding further, you will complete the eighth chapter.

Passage of the chapter “Composition 9. At the concert.” How to defeat Mimosa?

At the very beginning of the level, look back and examine the graffiti . Then run forward, but before you climb onto the roof, pick up the broken chip in the dead end:

Go ahead and the game will soon transition into a 2D platformer mode. After you get to the boss.

How to defeat Mimosa?

First phase. Try to reflect the attack beams in rhythm – this will cause huge damage to the dress. The easiest way is to keep a distance from Mimosa and shoot her with Mint. Before the dress is destroyed, don’t stand too far from the boss – you will have some time to deal damage.

Second phase. First, destroy the robots in the dark – Mint can easily deal with them. As soon as Mimosa enters the stage, when the whole scene is lit up, and flamethrowers are walking on the sides, hit the boss at this moment, even up close. The main thing is to keep an eye on the robots, because if they get too close, they will set you on fire.

Third phase. In fact, it repeats the first one, only the boss has new blows and some old ones change. Try to stay away, reflect the beams and use Mint. If you get hit by a spin attack and end up in a cage where you need to destroy two eyes, the main thing is to jump over the red waves with just one jump – do not double and do not dodge in the air. At the end of the fight, you will get a reflect combo. Pass it and the ninth chapter will be completed.

Passage of the chapter “Composition 10. Cunning plan.” How to defeat Roquefort?

Reflect waves of enemies and protect the cannon. Special icons will indicate which of the robots are attacking the weapon. Usually arrows do this. After defending the cannon, you will encounter a fiery bird , which must be extinguished with the help of Corsica. Pull towards the enemy and get rid of the flames. It is also very convenient in this way to dodge circular attacks, which activate combos on reflection.

After defeating the enemy, a cut-scene will start, leading to a series of battles. After completing them, go through the corridors and examine the graffiti on the wall in front of the entrance to the ventilation shaft:

Next, go through a series of already familiar challenges until you get to a new enemy in the form of an armored robot beast . Knock down his defense, but this can only be done after a spherical attack of the enemy. The robot also goes into a rage and uses all the same circular attacks from which you need to jump back so as not to fall under the combo on reflection. After defeating the enemy, move on and soon you will find yourself on the balcony, where we advise you to pick up a broken chip from the floor above:

Then return to the button and move on. You will find a series of battles and the usual tests. In the next office, pick up a broken chip :

Immediately go to the next room to pick up a fragment of a health bottle :

Then go outside and climb onto the roof. Next, you will find another portion of trials and battles. After destroying the statue and using the magnets, jump down to pick up an echo core fragment :

Having climbed into the courtyard in front of the office, look around. On the left you will find a broken chip :

Then go to the office, where the fight with the boss will begin.

How to defeat Roquefort?

First phase. The main thing in rhythm is to dodge the attacks of the boss. Watch carefully for the combo where the boss does a circular strike at the end – you need to try to jump from him. Soon Roquefort will lose his armor and will run away from you. Hook to him and use the abilities of other characters.

Second phase. The werewolf will regain his armor and gain much more abilities. Reflect blows, competently dodge and be attracted to the boss. It is very important to complete the musical QTE, which will allow Roquefort to deal a lot of damage. Towards the very end, the enemy will again lose their armor and will summon laser walls. Just reach for it and hit.

Second phase. The most successful tactic seemed to us to be constant pressure on Cale. Pull towards him and attack with all characters. If Cale creates an electric zone, run in circles from the impending energy attack.

Third phase. You need to destroy four of Cale’s tentacles. To do this, you need to use a certain character at the right time. At other times, it’s best to stay away from the boss. When Cale jumps and bursts into the floor with tentacles, use Macaroon. If you see a blue barrier, call Mint. In the case where the fire tentacle appears, move closer to Cale and use Corsica. Doing it right will stun the enemy for a few seconds, allowing you to hit the tentacle, and destroying them all will end the phase.

Fourth phase. Partly repeats the second phase. Try to constantly beat the boss. After small round attacks, Cale uses a combination that can be deflected – watch out for the flash before hitting. When the boss surrounds himself with electricity – run around him and try to dodge three pillars of fire in time – make sure that the walls do not interfere with dodging. From directed attacks, escape by jumping, especially for walls of fire.

The fight will end with typical QTE combinations. After you defeat Cale, the Hi-Fi Rush walkthrough will be completed. But you can continue the game by trying out new modes and features.
