How to divide piles of objects?

Shortly after playing Valheim it probably crossed your mind how the hell you can divide piles of items in your inventory to order or manage them better. Sometimes we don’t need to carry the maximum of an item with us or we just want certain amounts. Luckily, dividing an object into stacks is very easy .
- Press the Alt keyto open your inventory of items.
- Now hold down the left Shift keyon your keyboard.
- Left-click on the objectyou want to split (without releasing the Shift key).
Doing this will open a small menu to split the object into a stack. Simply move the bar from side to side to decide how many units you want of that item. This can be very useful, for example, when feeding domesticated animals .
How to repair weapons, armor and tools?
The weapons , armor and tools in Valheim have durability . They are not infinite, and if we use them too much they will end up spoiling and breaking . This makes it impossible for us to use them again, but fortunately they can be repaired to continue using them as long as we want.
- To repair weapons, armor and tools go to a workbench.
- Next to the list of crafting objects you will see the icon of a hammer(like the one indicated in the image above).
- If the hammer icon is flashing yellow itmeans that some of the items you are carrying can be repaired.
- Click on the flashing hammer icon to completely repairyour damaged items.
The repair of the objects has no cost , so you can repair them without fear because you will not spend resources on it. The repair is done randomly, just press as many times as you need to repair all your broken or worn items.
Be careful, it is important to emphasize that you only fix the items that you carry in your inventory at that time. Also, you will only be able to repair objects that are at the same level as the Workbench you use (or the Forge , because objects that are created in it are only repaired in it).
How to erase or destroy objects?
When the time comes, it is possible that during your game you will find certain objects or materials that you do not need and are hindering you. And then you may wonder, is there a way to delete items or destroy them forever? The answer is, yes, more or less .
The game does not give a direct option to delete items, but you can choose one of these alternatives :
- Drop items on the ground –drag them from your inventory out of the inventory and let them fall to the ground. If you forget about them for a few days, they will eventually disappear.
- Throw objects into the water:the same as the previous step, but this time in the water. They also disappear after a few days.
- Use console commands:take a look at the cheats of the game , entering the command “removedrops” will make all the “drops” near you disappear.
There are some ingenious players who are dedicated to creating large earth pits where they throw all the objects they do not need. It is an interesting option if you like to have your bases clean and tidy. The last alternative, of course, goes through a lot of chests where you keep everything you have or don’t need right now.
