The Japanese series was broadcast in Spain in the famous program Un Globo, Dos Globos, Tres Globos during the seventies, although we have seen it many more times on television. Doraemon
Although Doraemon was first released in 1979 it has been a mythical series for children of many different generations. The Japanese cosmic cat , the blue cat that lives in Nobita’s room. Lazy and infatuated Nobita , will always ask his “brother” Doraemon for help to get out of all his problems. The best known samurai warrior in anime series is also part of some of the childhood series of boys and girls of the eighties and nineties. Kenshin Himura is a samurai who wants to leave behind his past as a cruel assassin and has his reverse-edged sword capable of wounding, but not killing. He will try to start a new life despite the fact that many of his enemies will seek him out to take revenge for everything he did.

The three Twins
Another old educational cartoon that we can see again today is Las Tres Mellizas. There are two seasons in Filmin, some 60 independent episodes in which each one deals with a different story, a tale or a character. Released in the 1990s, these Catalan cartoons starred Ana, Elena and Teresa. Each of the episodes has an identical scheme: the girls get bored or misbehave and are punished by The Bored Witch, transferring them to another moment in history or fiction . The Tiny

The Fruittis
The world of Fruittis, you know, is very funny. If you don’t stop singing the song from the Spanish animation series, it’s because you know Pincho, Gazpacho, Mochilo and the others. The series was broadcast in Spain at the beginning of the nineties: specifically, we were able to see Los Fruittis on RTVE from 1990 to 1992 although the reruns have been continuous and surely you still have a BETA or VHS tape at home. The fruit community lives next to a volcano and it doesn’t seem like it will be a habitable place anytime soon, so Gazpacho, Mochilo and Pincho decide to go out and explore another place where they and their friends can settle. Although there are thirty years of difference between Jackie and Nape (and others on this list) and Pokémon, for many it is also considered as childhood cartoons.
