Honorable Principals, Vice Principals, teachers and my dear students – I thank all of you for giving me this wonderful opportunity to deliver a speech on a special occasion, Children’s Day.
This day is celebrated every year on 14 November which is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. His hobby for children was admirable and he had a deep bonding with students like you. I believe that every teacher loves his students because you are the one who inspires us to come to school every day and teach students like us.
“Chacha Nehru”, as he is called, had a clear vision for the nation because he believed that the development of our country is possible when young people like you take responsibility and charge for various developmental activities of our nation. He thought that only through the enthusiasm and aspirations of the children would we be able to achieve the pride of Indian society.
It is not only our school that loves to celebrate children’s day with fun activities and entertainment programs, but many other institutes also host exciting competitions for children. The day cannot be fulfilled without reflecting the values and morals that Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru left behind us so that all of you can follow in his footsteps and achieve great success in life with your projected values.
He belonged to a privileged family background but his outlook never showed such ambiguity and luxury. The association with the royal families could have easily earned him a famous place in the British administration but he left behind a materialistic life and decided to join the Indian national movement with Mahatma Gandhi.
This story about the life of Pandit Nehru is hidden with some effective morals, which gives you insight into why a person should not follow a materialistic lifestyle because it survives for a certain period of time, rather Living a simple life helps you achieve a successful and early career. Nehru devoted his entire life to the country and similarly every child present here should choose a right path which will make our country proud.
Far from nurturing children like us, which are the building blocks of our country, the children of our country are fighting deep-rooted problems including basic education and poor healthcare. There are many children who work throughout the day in small workshops and cannot eat healthy and balanced meals even once a day. Some days and nights, they sleep empty stomach without food, and we here long for the little things of life without thinking about those children.
Thus, once again, I want to wish all of you a very Happy Children’s Day and allow all of us to celebrate this day with joy and appreciate the gift of childhood that is considered best for us. .
Therefore, I would request all of you to help these children whenever you have the opportunity and fulfill Nehruji’s dreams for a better society and build a unified nation.

Respected Principal, Vice Principal, Dear Teacher and Dear Student – Warmest greetings to all!
Sumita Sharma, a teacher in the Humanities section, enjoyed speaking on Children’s Day, which is celebrated every year on 14 November. Do you all know why Children’s Day is celebrated? This auspicious occasion is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was the first Prime Minister of India. Jawaharlal Nehru was one of the most prominent figures of India. He had a charming personality with a charismatic leadership.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was a highly admired politician as well as a qualified politician. He was as popular among children as Chacha Nehru. According to his belief, he considered children to be the future of our country. He insisted that children have innocent hearts and win the hearts of all with their acquitted and fairy smiles.
Children were considered the building blocks for our nation and they never discriminated between a girl and a boy. Equality for him was a model for any nation. This day is celebrated with fun and gaiety throughout the country. Teachers along with other colleagues in schools arrange stage shows to entertain you all. Even we have made arrangements for sweet and fun activities like plays, tambola competition and ramp shows. We hope you enjoy our performance.
We all want that you children also follow the ideals of Pandit Nehru which will develop your personality and you can become a great leader like him in the near future. He was a man of courage and words. His distinctive feature was to never give up ideology. He had to go to jail several times, though he did not get tired and continued his fight after suffering all the punishment.
Nehru’s administration helped the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, which is considered the largest hospital in today’s scenario. The Indian Institute of Technology, and the National Institute of Technology were also established and purposed to be the greatest institutions of higher learning. He played a key role in establishing many other Indian institutions and guaranteed free and compulsory primary education to the children of India. While serving his country, he enjoyed prestigious status and was praised internationally for his idealism and politics.
This clearly shows how committed Nehruji was to giving proper education to children as he believed that children are the future of the country. The progress of our country depends on the development of our children. You are considered as the building block of a strong nation.
If you all meet together, you can bring revolutionary changes in our country. You are responsible citizens of tomorrow because the development of the country is in your hands. I hope that I can address this gathering well. All of you can now look forward to enjoying the activities that have been displayed in the stalls for you.

Honorable Principal, Vice Principal, dear colleagues and my adorable students – Warmest day to all!
On this auspicious occasion of Children’s Day, I would like to offer all of you an opportunity to speak on this wonderful occasion. Children are the future of any nation. They are the foundation on which the development and success of the nation are based. This day is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He is still remembered by children as Chacha Nehru.
Nehru believed that for the welfare and progress of our country, we need young minds; Those with the ability to create new ideas and shape our country in ways that will be useful for future generations. His ideology was mainly bent on the belief that by setting up various educational institutions, we can nurture our future talents.
Primary and elementary education were central to their ideas and this is the main reason that proves that they admire children. School children like you were provided free food during their tenure, which included milk and healthy food that would prevent malnutrition in India. Children’s Day is a time to re-establish awareness among the people of India, so that you can protect the rights and privileges of children as the future of our nation.
We celebrate Children’s Day with great joy, but have you ever thought about children who are unable to attend schools due to certain circumstances in their homes. The situation of children in India is in line with Nehru’s imagination. Child labor is a danger in India, where people of your age serve food, wash dishes in people in restaurants; The dream of education goes away. Wherever you find children working and exploiting, young people should take initiative and stop such exploitation.
Poverty and illiteracy have been the main causes of child labor. Due to improper distribution of wealth, the gap between rich and poor is getting bigger. Children belonging to families below the poverty line are those who are adversely affected by this scenario. They have no choice but to feed themselves to work as unskilled labor, but it is their age to attend schools and acquire knowledge and play in the park like their children.
Turning a blind eye to a crime like child abuse is also considered a major crime. We can collectively start programs to help these children. We should start working for this by implementing these ideas in our home. Stop employing children as domestic help and make them aware of whoever does this. All of you can donate your old books and stationery to these children so that they too can get at least a little education.
Let us together help these children. By doing this, you will help in the progress and development of our country.
