Roana LP-15

Roana LP-15: Variety of Cuban rice, excellent grain and medium cycle. It was obtained at the Experimental Rice Station located in Los Palacios , belonging to the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences , from the selection in F6 generation from a double crossing. Among its characteristics, excellent agricultural and industrial yields and tolerance to the main pests stand out.

General characters

Variety of medium cycle (130-150 days), is characterized by the size and weight of its grain has shown excellent results in terms of agricultural and industrial performance and better tolerance in the field against pests. The optimal planting season is from December 15 to February 28 and from June 15 to July 31. The nitrogen levels to be used are 175 kg of N.ha-1 in the two seasons and the appropriate planting density is 120 kg of seed per hectare.
