Pixel 6 Pro;Complete Review

Pixel 6 Pro is among the most anticipated smartphones of the year. It will have a proprietary processor but we do not know when it will be announced: here are all the news.

After the debut of the iPhone 13 , the wait for Google-branded smartphones becomes more anxious . The new generation, which should consist of Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6 , will represent a change of course for the Big-G. As confirmed by the Mountain View giant, in fact, future smartphones will adopt a proprietary processor and say goodbye to the Qualcomm solutions seen on previous models, such as Pixel 4a and Pixel 4 XL . Pending the presentation on which Google has not yet expressed itself, details continue to emerge on Made by Google smartphones, so the well-known XDA-Developers portal has created what we could call the Pixel 6 Pro identikit .

According to what has emerged so far, Pixel 6 Pro will provide up to 12 GB RAM and the 5G modem will be provided by Samsung, the front should be occupied by a 6.67-inch display – probably OLED – characterized by a frequency refresh rate ranging from 60Hz to 120Hz . As in most current smartphones – and now also on the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max – the system should automatically adjust the refresh rate based on the content you are viewing, but, apparently, the Active Edge function will not be supported. allows you to activate Google Assistant by pressing on the sides of the screen.

The cameras on the back will be three : the main sensor should be 50 Megapixel and provided by Samsung, to accompany it there would be a 12 Megapixel wide-angle lens and a 48 Megapixel telephoto lens. The Pixel 6 Pro will be able to count on Ultrawide Band (UWB) technology, the same used by Apple and Samsung for the management of AirTag and SmartTag and this could be seen as an indication of a possible debut of Google also in the sector of bluetooth trackers, but for now there is no information about it.

The operating system will obviously be Android 12 , and the new smartphones could enjoy long-term support (5 years of updates), a significant advantage. Finally, the design has been confirmed by Google and is the one shown in the images in the article: the back cover will be characterized by a contrast of colors and by what Google calls Camera Bar.

For the moment, still no confirmation on the date of presentation nor on the selling prices. The debut, however, should be very close and who knows that the new Pixels do not represent the Android alternative par excellence to Apple’s iPhones .
