Openfire (formerly Wildfire and Jive Messenger ) is an instant messaging system GPL and made in java and uses the protocol XMPP with can have your own server of messaging can manage your users, share files, audit messages, offline, messages broadcast, groups, etc. and also contains free plugins with different extra functions.

Openfire Administration Web Panel

The administration of the server is done through a web interface, which runs by default on port 9090 (HTTP) and 9091 (HTTPS). Administrators can connect from anywhere and edit server settings, add and delete users, create permanent conference rooms, and more.

The latest versions are not compatible with Ejabberd. (Users are not visible)
