Louisa Moritz was the artistic pseudonym Luisa Castro Netto ( Havana , 25 of September of 1946 – Los Angeles , 4 of January of 2019 ) was an actress and Cuban expatriate lawyer in the United States. [3]
After arriving in New York from Cuba, she graduated in law and became a film and television actress. She is remembered for her role in Caught with No Exit ( One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest , 1975), directed by Milos Forman and starring Jack Nicholson .

Biographical synthesis
Luisa Cira Castro was born in Havana, where she worked as an accountant. [4] [5]
One or two years before the triumph of the Revolution (January 1959), he left Cuba and moved to New York City. [6] She adopted the surname Moritz after seeing the Hotel St. Moritz in New York City and to avoid association with Fidel Castro, with whom she claimed she was distantly related. [3] [5] [6]
Professional life
When he moved to the United States, he could not speak a word in the English language. [6]
Her acting career began in the 1960s with commercials. [5] His first film was The Man from ORGY (in 1970), in the lead role of the prostitute Carmela. [5] In general she played very attractive blondes, appearing in numerous films of which the best known was One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (in 1975) as the prostitute Rose, and on television shows including Happy Days , M * A * S * H and Love, American Style . Moritz studied law at West Los Angeles University [5] and Abraham Lincoln University. [7]
She also invested in real estate, owned a hotel in Beverly Hills (a district of Los Angeles) that changed its name to Beverly Hills St. Moritz. [5] [6] He also produced self defense programs for television. [6]

Death
During a visit to the city of Washington DC , Moritz suffered a fall. [9] She was admitted to a nursing home where she was cared for for a year. [10] She was finally taken to her home in Los Angeles, where she died of natural causes, on January 4 , 2019 , at age 72. [5]
Accusations against Bill Cosby
In November 2014, the 68-year-old Moritz became one of the first women to accuse actor Bill Cosby , alleging that in 1971 Cosby forced her to perform oral sex on him for a few minutes in his dressing room on The Tonight Show television program. . [5] [11] [12] [13]
Cosby accused her of lying, for which she sued him for defamation. Following Moritz’s death (in 2019), his attorney plans to continue the lawsuit. [6] [10]
