It will soon be exactly two months since Apple introduced the new operating systems. Specifically, the performance took place at the beginning of June, as part of the WWDC development conference, at which the apple company traditionally introduces new systems every year. This year, iOS and iPadOS 15, macOS 12 Monterey, watchOS 8 and tvOS 15 were introduced, and immediately after the introductory presentation, Apple released the first developer beta versions of these systems. Public beta versions were soon released, which means that anyone who is interested can pre-test the new systems. In our magazine, we are constantly focusing on the news and improvements we have seen. iOS 15: How to enable urgent notifications for selected applications
One of the main innovations in new operating systems is undoubtedly the Concentration mode, ie the improved Concentration mode. Thanks to it, we can finally create more Concentration modes, which can be customized differently and independently. Specifically, you can set which applications will be able to send you notifications, or which contacts will be able to call you. In addition, Apple has also added so-called urgent notifications, which “override” the active Focus mode and appear through it. On the iPhone, you can activate notifications for selected apps as follows:
- First, you need to switch to the native Settingsapp on your iPhone with iOS 15 .
- Once you’ve done so, go down a bit and click the Notificationsbox .
- Then, select the application belowto enable urgent notifications.
- Then all you have to do is pay attention to the Always deliver ascategory below.
- Activate the Urgent notificationsoption here with the radio button .
Therefore, urgent notifications can be activated for the application in iOS 15 using the above method. However, it should be noted that this option is not found in all applications, but only in selected ones. You can use urgent notifications, for example, if you have a smart home and one of your cameras detects movement. If you had the Concentration mode active, you would not be aware of this fact if the alert was hidden in the notification center. This will also appear to you through the active Concentration mode, so you will be able to respond quickly. Therefore, you should enable urgent notifications for those applications for which you want them to keep you informed.
