We recently showed you the new procedure to unlock the Lumia x50 series . With a fairly similar procedure, it is now possible to obtain Interop-Unlock also on Windows 10 Mobile from other manufacturers.

REQUIRED
- A non-Lumia Windows 10 Mobile.
- A Wi-Fi connection between the phone and the PC.
- A PC with Windows 8.1 or later.
- The latest version of Visual Studio installed with the SDK for Windows Phone or SDK Tools for Windows Phone 8.0 Lite .
- zip, compressed folder that contains iutool.exe and its libraries – find the link at the bottom of the article.
- Interop Tools– find the link at the bottom of the article. On the page you will find:
- 9.zip – Containing the package with the app Interop Toolsof Gus33000
- zip – The package with the dependencies needed for Interop Tools
- zip – Compressed folder containing .spkg files for use with iutool.exe
INTEROP-UNLOCK WINDOWS 10 MOBILE
- Read the previous paragraphs carefully!
- From your phone, enable developer mode. Just go to Settings> Update and security > For developers > Developer mode .
- From the same screen, enable the Device Portal and write down the IP address that will appear (you can choose whether or not to enable authentication; in this guide we will describe the procedure taking into account the deactivated authentication).
- From a PC, open a web browser and enter the IP address indicated above (ignore any errors in the certificate).
- Go to the Apps section, then from Install app> Dependency click on Add dependency and add a .appx from the package with Interop Tools Dependencies (find the link at the bottom of the article).
- Click on the Gobutton and wait for the installation.
- Repeat the procedure for all .appx.
- From Install app> App package , select the Interop Tools . Appx .
- Click on the Gobutton and wait for the installation.
- Open Interop Tools, go to This device > Interop Unlock and select Allow the installation of NDTK of any device .
- Copy the .spkg files to an empty folder, then, from the folder containing exe, click on File > the triangle to the right of Open Command Prompt> Open Command Prompt as Administrator .
- Write this command (do not copy and paste, to avoid copying wrong symbols generated by post formatting): iutool -v -p “<path to the folder containing the spkg files>”(The path must not include the name spkg files and major and minor symbols!).
- From Interop Tools, go to This device > Interop Unlock and select Restore default manufacturer.
FAQ
- Q – If I do a further hard-reset or update, do I lose the unlock?
- A – This unlock does not resist hard-resets and could also be canceled through updates to the operating system and some apps from the Store.
- Q – With this guide, can I install pirated apps?
- A – No. We will ban anyone who talks about it in the comments.
