With the release of Update 6.4 for Final Fantasy XIV, a new Extreme Trial was released. Titled The Voidcast Dias (Extreme), this is a hardcore re-imagining of the Golbez climactic battle that is the centerpiece of FFXIV Update 6.4. Here’s how to unlock it and every reward from this extreme trial version!
How to unlock Voidcast Dias in Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.4

The initial trial version of Voidcast Dias is unlocked in the ninth 6.4 MSQ quest called Abyssal Darkness . At the culmination of this quest, you will unlock the Voidcast Dias, in which you will come face to face with Golbez in his lair on the moon of the Void. There are no rewards for this challenge other than 4063 gil and the Heavens’ Eye IX Materia, Savage Aim IX Materia, or Savage Might IX Materia of your choice to complete the quest.
However, once you complete this and the next quest, The Dark Throne, you can unlock Voidcast Dias (Extreme).

To open The Voidcast Dias (Extreme), head to Old Sharlayan and find the Wandering Minstrel (X: 12, Y 14) at the docks. Talk to the NPC and select the Golbez Talk option and after a short cutscene, Voidcast Dias (Extreme) will be unlocked.
