Ways to link my Amazon Tablet to a Smart TV

There is no complication when it comes to connecting or pairing your device to a Smart TV , in fact there are three ways to do it and each one seems to be easier than the other.

Using Amazon Fire TV streaming

In order to use the Amazon Fire TV Streaming service, you must first purchase an Amazon Fire TV Stick device which will allow you to project different streaming services on your Smart TV such as Disney+, Netflix and others. If you already have an Amazon Fire TV Stick, then all you need to do is follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure that the Fire TV stick and your tablet are connectedto the same network, have internet access, and are registered under the same Amazon username.
  2. Connect a Fire TV Stick to your Smart TV via an HDMI cable
  3. On Fire TV, go to settings, display and sound and turn on the option of “Second Screen Notifications”
  4. On the Tablet, find the content you want to play on your Smart TV and use the arrow icon to project it on the Smart TV.

Via an adapt cable with HDMI port

This option will only work with Kids HD, HD6, HD7, HD8, HD8.9, HD10 and HDX devices . You will also need to purchase an HDMI adapter for your Tablet. Having said that, all you have to do is follow these simple steps:

  1. Connect the HDMI adapter to the USB port of your Tablet
  2. Connect an HDMI cable from the Tablet adapter to the Smart TV port

Through a device capable of supporting Miracast

Having the help of a device with Miracast support can be very useful. It should be clarified that this option can only be applied to the HDX model . Since we clarified this, you just have to connect the device to the Smart TV and follow the following steps:

  1. Make sure the Miracast device is connected to the same network as your Kindle Fire HDX.
  2. On Kindle Fire, go to settings then sound and select “Display Mirroring”
  3. Once there, select the miracast device to connect and after a few seconds you should be able to play your files on your Smart TV.

How to activate the mirror mode of my Kindle Fire on a Smart TV?

On some occasions we may have to activate the mirror mode in a slightly less conventional way and below we will explain the different ways to do it.

Using any Android device that has Chromecast

To activate Chromecast mode and see my cell phone screen on TV, you must first make sure that the device is connected to the same network as your Android cell phone. Then open the Google Home app and select the device you want to project the image to. Select ‘Send My Screen’ and then ‘Send Screen’.

Using Fire OS from your Apple device

As in the previous section, you have to verify that your device, whether it is iPhone or iPad, is connected to the same network as your Smart TV. Then launch the Fire OS app so it starts searching for Fire TV devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Then select the device you want to mirror your screen to and select ‘Start mirroring’.

Installing the AllCast application on the Amazon Appstore

This app will allow you to share your screen information to different streaming devices and its installation is just like any other app on your Kindle Fire.

Open the Amazon Appstore app and search for ‘Allcast’ . Then simply install it and you can start enjoying the application .

Why can’t I see Amazon Prime on my device?

Sometimes you may not be able to play content from the Prime Video platform  on your Fire TV device, but don’t worry, this is not due to an issue with the device itself and is very easy to fix. You may need to update the software version of your Fire TV  from the settings in the My Fire TV section.

You could also try  restarting the device or even the router . If this doesn’t work, make sure your HDMI display and cable support HDCP 1.4 (HD content) or HDCP 2.2 (UHD/HDR content)
