How to recover the Mobile Code

You need to perform an operation through your home banking but have you realized that you do not remember the Mobile Code required to authorize some operations? Do not despair: it can happen to everyone to have a memory lapse or to forget essential information to enter their online profiles or authorize this or the other operation.

Fortunately, as with passwords to access various online services, there are procedures to help users obtain these credentials again. What is it about? If you take me a few minutes, you’ll find out.

In the following lines you will find detailed explanations on how to retrieve your bank’s Mobile Code and use it to take full advantage of home banking again. Do not worry, it is not such a complex procedure (provided, of course, that you are the legitimate owner of the account!). Happy reading and good luck for everything.

How to recover the UniCredit Mobile Code

If you are a UniCredit customer , you will surely know that this bank uses the Mobile Code as a unique password to generate passwords from the Mobile Token and confirm the provisions from the app (it is distinguished by the 8-digit PIN, which is the access code to the Multichannel Bank Service).

Generally the Mobile Code – which consists of 6-10 digits – is chosen when activating the app for Android and iOS ), but it can be recovered if necessary. Let’s see together how.

First of all, you must therefore connect to the UniCredit customer area , enter the Membership Code and PIN . Once in the Home of your account, click on your profile icon located at the top right and select the Settings item from the menu that opens.

From here, click on the Security tab located at the top. Now, to create a new Mobile Code you have to press the Create button that you find in the Mobile app section . Pressing the button in question opens a screen that summarizes the main data necessary for the operation, i.e. the telephone number and the associated email address .

If you haven’t done so yet, you will first need to verify both your email address and phone number (or one of them if the other is already verified). To do this, press the Verify item and enter the code that will be sent to you by the bank to the email address or number in question.

When you are done, press the Continue button , then enter the card numbers you are asked for on the new page that opens and press the Continue button again . Once finished, an SMS will be sent to you with the new mobile code to use to log in.

If you want to change the existing code, from the Security window already used for this procedure, find the Mobile Code item next to the Change button . Pressing it you will first have to enter the current code and then the new one which will replace the obsolete one.

As for the procedure to recover UniCredit Mobile Code from the app , this is not possible. If, in fact, you are wondering how to recover the old UniCredit Mobile Code , you must know that being a security code, if you have forgotten it and have not marked it anywhere or stored in a password app , then it is lost forever and a new one is needed (to be generated following the procedure just indicated).

What you can do from the app is to change the current Mobile Code , by going to your profile icon , then in the menu Settings> Security> Change Mobile Code and following the instructions on the screen. More info here .

How to recover the Fineco Mobile Code

Fineco also has its strong mobile identification system, required to confirm operations and not to access the app (available for Android and iOS / iPadOS ).

For this reason, in case you have forgotten it, you can always get a new one by directly entering the Fineco app. From the Home go to the Account Management option and then to Mobile Code . From this section you can go to modify and manage every aspect of this service. More info here .

How to retrieve the Mobile Code of other banks

Each bank has a different system for identifying and managing the codes necessary to access home banking and authorize the various operations. Therefore, since the Mobile Code proper concerns only UniCredit and Fineco, for other institutions you will have to consult their respective official websites and learn more about the methods to obtain access to your home banking (or authorize the various operations) on the latter.

Intesa Sanpaolo , for example, has a slightly different system than those seen previously, as it is an associated service called O-Key Smart. Its activation or any changes are made through the app (available for Android and iOS ). More info here .

Even with Monte dei Paschi di Siena digital banking, various problems can occur, starting from the loss of the user code, passing through the password up to an incorrect recognition of the biometric data. For the user code and password, you can retrieve them while accessing the private area, both from the web and from the app (available for Android and iOS / iPadOS ) by choosing the items Retrieve user code or Retrieve password . More info here .

Finally, Mediolanum has two distinct security codes: one to enter your online bank (also via app) and a second to approve transactions. Both can be modified from the Security section of the online bank or, if they are lost, you can retrieve them via the bmedonline.it website or via the app (available for Android and iOS ), as long as you have authenticated your contacts. Otherwise you can call the bank by phone. More info here .

For the rest, since it would be impossible for me to make a valid guide for all the banks available in Italy, I suggest you do a search on Google and consult the official documentation of the various institutions that you will find online.
