How to pass Darksiders 3: The Crucible (Crucible)

Darksiders 3 Arena Walkthrough Guide

On February 26, 2019, a small DLC for Darksiders 3 was released , which added a kind of Arena to the game. The Fury can now travel to the Crucible and try to survive the many waves of opponents. And all this is not just that: for success she is entitled to a special reward. We’ll talk more about this below.

Video walkthrough of all 100 waves

How to get to the Crucible

This can be done after the destruction of the first Sin (Envy does not count), while if you dealt with only one, the first 25 waves will be available. Kill the next Sin to unlock a new set of waves, and so on. Since we had a save before the battle with the final boss, we didn’t have to face such problems.

Travel to Vulgrim, select Serpentine Holes and move to the Crucible located in Purgatory.

What to do in the Crucible (how to get through)

In The Crucible, you have to fend off opponents who attack in waves. All waves come in batches of five, and after “every fifth” Targon, the Keeper of this establishment, will offer you a choice: continue, leave or view the range of awards. If you leave, then next time you have to start all over again, from the first wave. If you take the risk and continue, you can get more experience points.

Every 25 levels, you will fight unique bosses. However, the first couple (during waves 25 and 50) are no different from the mini-bosses that you encountered earlier.

Mountains

Let’s list all the bosses:

  • Wave 25 is a large fire golem of Horus.
  • 50 wave – spider Sherkhaal.
  • Wave 75 – Angel with a shield Rustion.
  • 100 wave – the demon Urul.
  • The final boss is Evil Killington. For defeating him, you will receive Unholy Adamantine , which allows you to increase the level of weapons to +11 (by default, it is only available to +10). Upgrade weapons at Ultain.

Reward

For every 25 waves, you will receive 10 tokens as a reward. They can be spent on purchasing goods from the Targon store. Another token will be obtained for killing the final boss. If you do not have enough tokens (and after passing hundreds of waves and destroying the last boss there will be 41 of them), then you can always go through the levels again. Moreover, you will be given a choice between waves 1-25, 26-50, 51-75 and 76-100.

Let’s list the assortment of goods in the Targon store, which can be used in each pause between the five waves.

I would like to add that the Crucible will allow you to earn a considerable amount of souls needed to improve Rage.

Evil Killington

How to get maximum points

Basic conditions:

  • Passing a normal wave without damage – +250 points.
  • Passing a wave with a boss (regardless of damage) – +625 points.
  • The use of the Nephilim Suspense is allowed, the rating does not decrease.
  • For each consumable spent in battle, you receive a penalty of -125 points.
  • After every five waves, the rating points for any wave will increase by 50 points. The default value depends on the difficulty level set in the game.
  • You lose all points if you die or leave the Crucible on your own.
  • If a fragment of Immortality is triggered, then all points gained by that moment will be reduced by 50%.
  • If you change the difficulty level while completing the Crucible, the rating will reset to zero for the current wave.
