How to get foam blocks in Minecraft
Moss Blocks can currently only be found in Lush Caves, making it to Part 2 of the Caves and Cliffs Minecraft 1.17 update scheduled for later this year.
Meanwhile, Minecraft foam blocks can be found by trading with Wandering Traders. You will need to exchange 2 emeralds for 1 block of foam, but only buy one as there is an easy way to create more foam once you have a block.
To do this, make sure you have some bone meal on hand. This is made from a single bone to make 3-bone meal, or a block of bones to make 9-bone meal.
Now you need to place the moss block next to the gravel, dirt, stone, deep slate, tuff, granite, andesite or podzol blocks, and then use the flour bone on the foam block. This will cause the Minecraft Moss block to grow and spread out into the surrounding blocks, allowing you to break them down and create even more by repeating the method. Minecraft foam blocks can also be obtained by looting them from a shipwreck. You have a 42.1% chance of getting 1-4 foam blocks in a Scrap Supply Chest, so it’s worth checking out.
How to collect the foam blocks.
The foam blocks can be picked up simply by breaking them with any tool or with your bare hands. Once the block is broken, it can be picked up like any other.
What is foam for in Minecraft
Moss is primarily a cosmetic block that you can use to give your buildings and other designs a patinated feel by combining them with cobblestone blocks. These moss-covered cobblestone blocks were previously only found in procedurally generated structures when creating a new world.
