Tips for engravers
ArcheAge gear can be engraved and faceted . They help to increase the damage or defense of the character, as well as improve other characteristics. To create them, you need “Enamel Glasses”, which can be obtained through the auction or by other means. Which ones – we will tell in this guide.
Antique chests
“Antique Chest with a Copper Lock” drops from monsters on the western and eastern mainland, as well as from scavengers . The Copper Key is required to open . From the chest you can get from 3 to 6 gold coins and one random item. The chance of getting shards and crystals is very small.

“Antique Silver Locked Chest” drops from elite monsters on the original mainland. Requires a Silver Key to open . From 9 to 50 gold coins and one random item are taken from the chest. The chance of getting shards and crystals is low.

- shard of true lunar akhium (from 2 to 3 pcs.),

“Antique chest with a golden lock” can be obtained with some chance from the following bosses: scavengers, Kraken, Xanatos, Leviathan, Morpheos, Marley, Glenn, Lorea, Cosmach, Adult alkhon. And also in the raid “Lair of the Dragon” for the murder of Gartarein always give 2 chests. Requires a Golden Key to open . From 15 to 120 gold coins and one random item are taken from the chest. The chance of getting scrolls is low.

- Animagus Orb (3 to 4 pcs.),
- any engraving, except for tourmaline (1 pc.),
- Scroll of strong armorer’s enchantments (1 pc.),
- Scroll of the strong armor’s enchantment (1 pc.),
- Scroll of the strong enchantment of the jeweler (1 pc.).
The engraving obtained from a chest with a golden lock can be sprayed with the New Moon Stone (sold at the Trivia Shop). You can randomly get from 3 to 5 enamel glasses.
Generating keys
Keys are crafted on the decorator’s desk and also sold at auction . Crafting requires mastery in research craft and ore. For more information on mining ore, see the Profession Guide . Below is a list with the required materials to craft keys, and the amount of mastery required in the research craft is shown in parentheses.
- Copper Key (no skill required). For crafting, you need 10 “copper bars”. 5 keys are made. One ingot is smelted from 3 pieces of “copper ore”.
- Silver Key (50,000 Mastery). When crafting, 5 “copper keys”, 3 “copper bars” and 5 “silver bars” are used. A silver bar is smelted from “silver nuggets”.
- Gold Key (70,000 Mastery). You will need 5 “Silver Keys”, 5 “Copper Bars”, 3 “Silver Bars” and 15 “Gold Bars”. Gold is smelted from “gold nuggets”.
Opening a chest with a golden lock is beneficial. The key costs an average of 42 gold coins at auction. A minimum of 15 gold coins are awarded for opening. Even if 3 glasses fall out, which cost 11 gold each, you will not go negative. If you accumulate many chests, and then open them all at the same time, the reward will be higher.
Instances
The last boss in the instances drops 1 tourmaline engraving. When using the “New Moon Stone”, you can get from 3 to 5 enamel glasses. Each instance can be logged in up to 3 times a day from level 50.
After spending daily login attempts, you can use additional ones. Heroic instances will need a Dungeon Hero Scroll (sold in the Trivia Shop for 30 gold coins), while Gardens of Pleasure and Dimension of Chaos will need a Dungeon Frequent Scroll . This is obviously not profitable.
- Khadir’s Farm (Heroic). Destroy Marmas.
- Burnt Fortress Arsenal (Heroic). Destroy Prince Hieronymus.
- Howling Abyss (Heroic). Destroy Musferon.
- Cradle of Destruction (Heroic). Destroy Metamorge.
- Dungeons of Al-Harba (Heroic). Destroy Akmit.
- Mines of Slicing Wind Heroic. Destroy O’Carf.
- Destroy Barraga the Mad. You can only enter as part of a group. You can invite one player to the squad, and go through the instance yourself.
- Pleasure gardens (any difficulty). Engraving drops from any boss at any difficulty level. For characters level 55 and above.
- Ernard’s Library (“Dimension of Chaos”). The engraving drops from every boss. For characters level 55 and above.
- The eternal island. Destroy Dauta.
- (Adventure) Eternal Island. Destroy Douta’s Reflection. The entrance to the instance appears in capitals on weekends. In another way, the dungeon is called “Daut’s Day Out”.
